As a soccer captain my leadership philosophy not only needs to win state championships, but also has to direct each and every team member including me to discipline, self control, and respect, and with this in mind my personal leadership philosophy is called “Mission Statement”.
As a leader, I like to state or even better write out my philosophy as a mission statement. This philosophy helps me communicate my team goals. In my mission statement I describe what is expected of every team member, and also show outsides the capability of my team, and with this philosophy I have won both county and regional championships.
Just like other leadership philosophies, in mine I had a vision, my vision was clear, concise, and easily comprehended to my teammates, because it’s part of my mission statement. My vision stated a significant purpose, a picture of what the future looks like, and clear set of values. Knowing the purpose of this vision, believing in it, and confidently talking to my colleagues was vital in winning their support.
Having my team support, which was the most important part of this journey, I now have to work on team building. For increased effectiveness of groups and satisfaction of individuals in the groups, team building was essential. I made them feel like they are a requirement to achieving our goal, I listened to them, took criticism to heart and I made sure that throughout the whole journey they had confident and trust in me as their leader and also passionate to the achievement of this goal.
As always, a leader’s most satisfying job is not leading but serving. To achieve our goal we needed our school and community support, soccer is a game that fan supports make a difference. But to gain all this support we are looking for we needed to serve our community as a
