In this technological era, there are two types of explanations about our existence that is being believed upon; the scientific explanation and the spiritual or religious explanation. But in every belief, no one must question the other regarding it. Why? It’s something that we call FAITH.
Faith, according to Wikipedia, involves accepting claims about the character of a deity, nature, or the universe. Under the two types of explanations are branches of different aspects and perceptions. Like for instance, in the scientific explanation comes out the famous theory of Charles Darwin – his theory of evolution. In the religious explanation here’s our Biblical sense going out of our hearts – which God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th day.
Most of the population in TIP are Catholics. Our institution is run by Catholic people. Yet, our adviser in NSTP, Ms. Joyce Santos belongs to another religion. In spite of that, we never argued about their faith and their beliefs. Faith all ends up in a little moral value we call respect. Let them believe in their own beliefs.
Faith became a sensual topic in our NSTP001 class last September 12th 2013. Many had their own beliefs about the existence of man, the existence of the world, and if there is truly a man called “Jesus Christ” watching us up above the heavens. Well, here’s a simple answer to all of these debates and arguments in our life; to have FAITH is to BELIEVE WITH NO PROOF NEEDED.
If we truly have faith in something or someone, not just the world’s existence, the human’s existence or our Lord’s existence, but even in one person we dearly love, we need no proofs, no explanations, no concrete evidences for us to believe in them. The fact that we have faith in them, we should not question our hearts on who, what, where, when, how, and most especially why. Because, the moment that you start asking, you do not accept your belief, therefore, you do not have faith.
