Compass Group Compass Group is a multinational contract food service and support services company . Its major competitors are also large international food service and support services industry. However Compass Group is known to be the largest contract food service company in the world, with operations in over 50 countries. With its humble past and expanding future Compass Group has the experience to keep growing internationally as a business and has the charisma to attract major clients and partnerships as well as exceptional employee applicants. Compass Group have set them selfs up with a structure for success only. From their exquisite website pages to there profits in investors to serving the most countries in the world Compass Group is not at the top for no reason.

Compass Group started of original as Factory Canteens in 1941 in the UK. Factory Canteens would provide meals during war time to the munitions workers. Then long after tending to the people of its country in 1967 Factory Canteens name was changed to Bateman & Midland and was acquired by the Grand Metropolitan and the two would eventually merge as Grand Met catering service. Which would be the roots of when the company started catering. Soon after that in 1984 is when the name Compass Group was born. What once was the Grand Met had now become the widely know name now, Compass Group. In 1988 the company was listed in the London Stock Exchange which was a kind of landmark for the expansion of the company in profits. Over the next 20 years Compass Group would acquire, merge and sale new and old companies all over the world building its strong international reputation it has today.
