Managing a business can be very challenging, properly trained staff and advanced research can stir a company in the right direction of being successful. The four functions of management are also essential tools to guide a company to achieve its goals. The first component of managing is planning. Management should have determined organization goals and also come up with a plan to achieve those specific goals. A substantial amount of this information will be outlined in the vision and mission statement for the business. Managers are responsible for organization of the company and this includes organizing people and resources. Knowing how many employees are needed for particular shifts can be critical to the success of a company.
