When dealing with e-business, protecting these properties is extremely difficult and complex. The internet has free range and is accessible to everyone and when businesses start migrating there business with e-commerce, the concept is the same. The consumer browses for a product, and proceed to purchase the product via the internet. With many businesses taking this approach to expand their market and increase their revenue, what sets each business apart from its competitors? Businesses set themselves apart by their brand, industrial designs, and custom inventions or ideas. It has been said that “A carefully worded contract drawn up by experienced counsel can be a company 's best protection,” which often serves as the protection of these properties (Traber, 2000).
