Funny Jokes Essay Example
FIRST TESTIMONY

I walked into a hair salon with my husband and three kids in tow and asked loudly,
"How much do you charge for a shampoo and a blow job?"
I turned around and walked back out and never went back.
My husband didn't say a word...he knew better.

SECOND TESTIMONY:
I was at the golf store compari ng different kinds of golf balls.
I was unhappy with the women's type I had been using.
After browsing for several minutes,
I was approached by one of the good-looking gentlemen who works at the store. He asked if he could help me.
Without thinking, I looked at him and said,
"I think I like playing with men's balls."

THIRD TESTIMONY:
My sister and I were at the mall and passed by a store that sold a variety of candy and nuts. As we were looking at the display case, the boy behind the counter asked if we needed any help.
I replied, "No, I'm just looking at your nuts."
My sister started to laugh hysterically.
The boy grinned, and I turned beet-red and walked away.
To this day, my sister has never let me forget.

FOURTH TESTIMONY :
While in line at the bank one afternoon, my toddler decided to release some pent-up energy and ran amok.
I was finally able to grab hold of her after receiving looks of disgust and annoyance from other patrons.
I told her that if she did not start behaving "right now" she would be punished. To my horror, she looked me in the eye and said in a voice just as threatening,
"If you don't let me go right now, I will tel l Grandma that I saw you kissing Daddy's pee-pee last night!" The silence was deafening after this enlightening exchange.
Even the tellers stopped what they were doing.
I mustered up the last of my dignity and walked out of the bank with my daughter in tow. The last thing I heard as the door closed behind me, were screams of laughter.

FIFTH TESTIMONY:
Have you ever asked your child a question too many times?
My three-year-old son had a lot of problems with potty training

I've always believed that some of the good comedians we admire today got their story lines from painful situations or dilemmas that they or others around them have encountered. Many people assume that certain comedians who joke about matters such as race or religion are doing so to be hurtful, but I believe that these comedians are helping to shed light on what some may call the "elephant in the room". However I do believe that any entertainer whether it be a comedian or musical artist should keep in mind that college campuses also have younger kids that attend there also. Caitlin Flanagan expresses in her article "That's Not Funny" that college campuses seem to take a critical approach in deciding which comedians are allowed on their campuses…

Often times argumentative essays can be hard to read because a lot of the time they are stuffed with so much information, which is why adding humor helps keep the reader engaged and wanting to read more. Throughout Steven Colbert’s “Higher Education,” I found myself consistently laughing, making me want to continue to read to see what he says next. On the other hand, during Robert Applebaum’s “Cancel Student Loan Debt,” I found myself losing interest and almost dreading what was to come in the next paragraphs. Humor is a key component in arguments on topics that aren’t too interesting by themselves, such as Steven Colbert’s essay.…

Community College or an Ivy League school, every freshman gets to experience the joy we all know as English One. Many schools argue about what text should be analyzed in order to most effectively point out the “do’s and do not’s” of writing a paper to better prepare students for many essays to come. Jonathan Swift’s “A Modest Proposal” would be a great addition to a first-year English textbook. Whether a student seeks to analyze for ethos, pathos or logos, logical fallacies or a simple Toulmin Analysis, Swift demonstrates excellent use of each.…

    Family Guy Essay

A show about a seemingly normal family might not be a show that doesn't catch a lot of viewer's attention. I have to disagree because Family Guy is one of my favourite televsion shows, and i rarely watch TV. Family Guy is comedy based off a normal middle class family, but like all families they have their problems that can be very strange. I admire shows that are different than any other shows that are out there. I find the show to be very interesting for various reasons such as their use of stereotypes, violence, and its slight case of predictibility which is why I love the "Patriot Games" episode.…

I was in a Starbucks one morning and in front of me was a woman on her cell phone. She was laughing and caring on a conversation in Spanish. She was not paying any attention to what was going on around her. A woman asked if she was in line and then the woman having the conversation said yes and moved up to the counter. She continued her conversation on her phone while the person on the other side of the counter waited for her to order. Finally, the person behind the counter asked what he could get her. She ordered a coffee, she realized that she then had to pay for the coffee and started to fumble through her purse. Continuing with her conversation, she moved on to the side of the counter.…
