When the time came for me to begin my student teaching, all I could do was to hope and pray that things would go smoothly. I soon found out that any worries I had were no longer an issue. I was placed at Kingstree Junior High School, where .I had attended in the 8th grade for a year. I always remembered Kingstree as a very busy and productive school where learning took place, a school filled with compassionate and helpful people. All of the teachers on the staff introduced themselves and made me feel welcome. The students even introduced themselves. My cooperative teacher, Ms. Floyd, allowed me to teach a specific subject and grade level which helped to enhance my learning experience. My experience went beyond my expectations with the help that I received from my cooperative teacher and the staff at Kingstree Junior High School. I was placed with Ms. Floyd in a 6th/7th grade science classroom at Kingstree Junior High in the Williamsburg School District for me to complete 300 hours of student teaching. I was able to observe the class for two weeks to learn Ms. Floyd’s class routine and teaching style. During this time I was able to sit with Ms. Floyd and talk about the different strategies and learning styles of her students that she used to address her diverse learners..
