What are the similarities and differences between Christianity, Islam, and Judaism? Essay Example
Ever thought to yourself, “Why do people practice the Judaism, Christianity, and Islamic faith?” or, “What are the similarities and differences between Christianity, Islam, and Judaism?” Well Christianity, Islam and Judaism are all similar religions in some ways but are also very different from each other in other ways as well. Some things that are similar and different are the holy books, the symbol of faith, and the house of worship.
All three religions have a holy book. But the holy books are different. Jew's holy book is the Torah or, the Hebrew bible which was given by God to Moses at Mount Sinai. The Torah contains the old testament, and the first five books of Moses. Christians' holy book is the Bible which also contains the old testament and the new testament as well, which the Torah doesn't have. The New Testament records the life and teachings of Jesus. The Muslim's holy book is the Koran which is written in Arabic and is composed of verses that make up 114 chapters. The Torah and the Holy Bible are different because the holy bible was not written in a scroll. The holy bible and the Koran are very different as well. In the Holy Bible, it says that Jesus is god himself, he was crucified, and he rose from the dead. However, in the Koran, it's a different story. In the Koran, it says that Jesus is not god, he was not crucified, and he did not rise from the dead. The Holy Bible, the Koran, and the Torah are appeared and written in many different ways.
Jews, Christians, and Muslims all have a symbol of faith. However, their symbols are not the same. The Jew's symbol of faith is the star of David, the first and most brilliant leader of Israel. The sign is based on the shape of David's shield. Christians' symbol of faith is the cross which represents and memorializes Jesus' death. Muslims don't have just one symbol of faith like the Jews & the Christians. Muslims have two, which is the crescent moon, and also the star. In the Islamic religion, the star
