I am a teenager but i would not risk my life or other people if i am not ready. The first reason why we should raise the legal driving age to eighteen is the safety of drivers. Teenagers under eighteen are not yet developed the abilities to drive safely. For example, they are likely to underestimate the hazards when driving. They are still lack of maturity to take responsibility. Many young drivers might text, call and even drink while driving because they are irresponsible, and inexperienced in figure out what they should do and what not. Furthermore, most young teenagers are highschool students. In that case, peer pressure has a big impact on the decisions made by young driver. For example, my friend who got driver license at age sixteen has to face many troubles. He had two speeding tickets in his first six months of driving. All he wants to do is showing off and using his car to go out with his friends. According to reliable statistical data, five thousand teenagers from age sixteen to twenty die from car accident every year. Many teenagers want to reach sixteen just to get the driver license and believe it or not, they are not ready. Therefore, by rising the driving age to eighteen, the numbers of car-accident will reduce. The second reason is to save money and protects the environments. Today, global warming is one of the biggest concerns to our society and we should put every effort in protecting and maintaining a good air condition. In fact, smoke from vehicles has increased the pollution in the atmosphere. Therefore, if we can raise the legal driving age to eighteen we can definitely reduce climate's issues. Because people who under eighteen cannot get permission to drive, there will be fewer vehicles on the street
