On May 7th‚ I went to see the musical‚ Urinetown‚ at the Lake Country Playhouse. The play was split into two acts consisting of music and lyrics written by Mark Hollman and Greg Kotis. The premise of the show is that a long drought caused a water shortage which made private toilets a thing of the past. Public restrooms controlled are by a corporation called “Urine Good Company” (UGC) and people have to pay to use amenities. The show opens with a 4th wall break from Officer Lockstock‚ a policeman

veterans of The Mallory Concert Series at Rutgers University: Camden. The expectation is obvious with the lack of seats available that the concert will be captivating. As the air turns to a silent empty hum‚ we are ready. Personally notable movements from the first piece of the program‚ Piano Trio in C Minor‚ Op. 2‚ are Andante and Vivace. Pappone‚ “lauded as a ‘first rate’ violinist by Maestro Lorin Maazel” and founder of the non-profit Delius Music Academy (Mallory Concert Series Program)‚ executed

Jazz Concert Review On Saturday 28th I went to The Globe Café in Coral Gables‚ I got there with my brother exactly at 8pm and sat on a high table just in front of the band. We got there just before they started playing and stayed for the whole first session that was just over an hour. The Café was real nice‚ It wasn’t far from where I live and there was no traffic coming in‚ it is situated in a very nice part of Coral Gables just two blocks from Miracle Mile‚ that was perfect because parking was

Concert Report The concert that I attended was the live concert experience to be extremely eye opening and enjoyable‚ and I have come to realize live music is far superior to recorded music. What I found that live concerts offered‚ as opposed to recorded music‚ wasn’t necessarily better sound quality‚ but the setting and mood established by the location‚ and just as importantly‚ the people who attended as well. When I first arrived I was immediately warmed by the inviting and embracing atmosphere

Friday a cover band lead by guitarist and lead singer‚ Randy Jackson‚ performed at a bar on the north side of Milwaukee and played a variety of Rock and Roll tunes. The stage of the concert was very basic. There were no huge props on stage or anything that drew the attention of the audience. The concert was a relatively small event and it had a relatively low budget so it’s understandable to see the lack of setting. However‚ the basic small stage actually fit the atmosphere of the evening

downtown Los Angeles‚ the stainless steel curves of the Walt Disney Concert Hall shines in the Southern Californian sun. They shine in quick flashes that glance through characterless high-rise buildings‚ throwing astonishing reflections into a shady public park at the base. The building is a stunning piece of architecture‚ ripe for metaphoric interpretations ranging from a blooming flower to sailing ships. The Walt Disney Concert Hall’s very existence is a miracle of logistics and perseverance.
