The story "The Necklace" has more situational irony in my opinion then the story "Lamb to the Slaughter" which has less situational irony. Both of the stories have situational irony‚ but "The Necklace" tells more of a good story then "Lamb to the Slaughter." They all both good stories. The stories "Lamb to the Slaughter" and "The Necklace" both had good meanings. "The Necklace" tells a better story because the story explained how the main character which was Mathilde and she was very spoiled

In comparison I would say the necklace is better then Lamb to the Slaughter. I say this because Lamb of the Slaughter wasn’t that more of irony‚ but more of what was expected to happen. Like in the story Lamb of the Slaughter when she gets sad and mad‚ I kinda knew that she would do something about it. I also knew when she walked behind her husband she was going to hit him in the back of the head. Now in The Necklace in the beginning of the story‚ it had this girl named Mathidle Loisel‚ she is

This short-story written by Roald Dahl is about a woman – Mary Maloney – who murders her husband with a leg of lamb. It’s really interesting to read‚ since it shows us‚ how a crucial decision in a situation like this can lead to spontaneous life altering decisions. This story also portrays how the idea of a so called ‘nuclear-family’ (the perfect family) can affect a person’s mind – the whole role-playing game between the husband and wife. This essay will interpret and discuss a characterisation
