Disengagement means switching attention to another task or client.
Meanwhile, a head teacher would make sure that if they were putting rules that the children should walk on the right or left whilst they are walking on the school corridors. However, they have realised that the children weren't following the rules. This would mean they would switch attention by re advising the children the things they should be doing in assembly. This would make them follow the rules because the school has made the regulations strict. This provides occupation.

However, a head teacher would make sure that the children are shown how to do a specific thing. For instance if there were a couple of children with autism that needed a hearing aid, due to not hearing people talk. A head teacher would make sure that there is someone to show them how to do it or help them put it on, e.g. a special education needs assistant. This provides social support.
Furthermore, a therapist and special education needs assistant would make sure that the children are shown how to do something. They could show each person individually or a few at once, this is due to the children having disability they might find it difficult doing basic things. Also, this provides social support.
They could help clients to learn new, more effective ways of behaving by acting as model. Rather than telling someone how to behave, the practitioner demonstrates appropriate behavior and encourages the client to copy this. An example of modelling may be to greet clients with a warm smile and a cheerful 'good morning' when entering a room. My client Karim may eventually greet others in the same way.
