Won lottery Lillian2022 On a sunny day, I was walking my dog in the morning. Suddenly, I stepped on a soft object, and quickly I had a sinking feeling. I took off my shoe and found it was covered with my dog’s poop! I felt it was not my day, and I decided to go home. Yet, on the way home, I bought a lottery ticket. To my amazement, I won two billion dollars! After I won the lottery, I bought a pair of new shoes. Even more, after I won the lottery, I pursued my dreams of traveling to Japan, opening a bookstore, and buying an island.
As soon as I won the lottery prize, I planned to go to Hokkaido in Japan for one month. Then, I wanted to eat gourmet food every place I visited. When I arrived at Hokkaido, it was snowing! I was very excited, and I was busy heaping up snowman. The snow, such as shaved ice had a soft touch and it was extremely interesting and novel to me. I loved the beautiful scene which just like the land wore a wedding gown. Although it was snowing, I still bought a scoop of milk ice cream. To me, it was a special experience that lay on the icy snow to lick the creamy ice-cream. Even though my tongue was nearly frozen, I was happy and really enjoyed the interesting experience! During thirty days, I enjoyed the time I spent in Japan.
Thereafter, I bought a small but beautiful island with a billion dollars in the Pacific Ocean. I built a castle which was a baroque style, so it was gorgeous and majestical. This castle was surrounded by a river, and I planted lots of red roses nearby the river. In the morning, I always woke up by rooster’s crow, and then I went to beach to enjoy the beautiful scenery. When I lay on the beach with a gentle breeze, I could see the sky was clear without any pollution. What’s more, the touch of golden sand was warm because of the heat of the sun. Sometimes, a school of dolphins were dancing in the sea, and I thought it

I went to court in December to hear the trial of Cidney Ingram who was being charged with premeditated murder. The trial was being held in Judge Cynthia Lane's courtroom. I knew there were probably going to be a lot of people in the courtroom watching this trial, so I got there thirty minutes early to get a good seat in the front row. When I entered the courtroom, there were only a couple of other people there besides me waiting to watch the trial. I also saw the prosecutor and defense attorney setting up their laptops and gathering together their paperwork for the case. I saw the defendant, Cidney Ingram, sitting down besides his defense attorney. I also noticed the bailiff who was just standing alongside the wall in the courtroom. After about ten minutes, a man wearing a suit and tie entered into the courtroom and took a seat right behind me. The prosecutor then proceeded to sit down next to the man. Although I couldn’t hear exactly what they were saying, I assumed that the prosecutor was going over the case with the witness. People began coming in and the courtroom was starting to get crowded. I happened to notice a man that entered the courtroom who was wearing a hat, and I looked over at the Bailiff to see if he was going to say anything to this man. About a minute later, the Bailiff proceeded over to the man that was wearing the hat and informed him that he was not allowed to have his hat on inside the courtroom.…

When we finished signing in, the maid took us to our room. It wasn’t like an inside hotel, it is outside but of course we had roofs over our head. Our suite was very neat and clean. The suite had a full kitchen with a loaded fridge including pop, water, juice, champagne, wine, and beer. It had a coffee machine, glasses, a dishwasher, an oven, and a full sink. It also had a full bathroom including a vanity. The suite included a washer and a dryer. It had a balcony with a table and two lounge chairs. The living room had a flat screen T.V. with an Xbox 360 with two controllers. We had a wonderful view of the ocean where you could see people sailing and parasailing. The first thing we did was walk on the beach and ate at 1 of the 21 restaurants. There food was so good. Especially the seafood. The second day we looked around and saw 30 shops and 21 restaurants. After lunch we went to the beach. The ocean was beautiful. The color of the ocean was a light blue. It looked like a big swimming pool and not an ocean. Even when you are looking down with your head above water you can see everything. We collected a lot of pretty shells. We decided to spend the full day at the beach and it was so much fun. When you…

The flaming hot sun continued to beat down on my already sweaty body as I walked along the searing sands of the beach in my purple flip flops. I had been playing Frisbee with my friends the entire morning and I decided it was time for some delicious ice cream. I took out my wallet from my shorts, and then pulled out a crumpled $5 bill. I ran through the sand eagerly, dodging the tons of unique sandcastles all over the place. I got into the endless line at a bright and flashy ice-cream cart with a young women serving. There were a billion of choices for ice-cream all written in cursive on an antique chalkboard. Finally, after a million years, I chose the chunky chocolate topped with mini smarties and told my order to the lady. I admired the beautiful detailed umbrella looming above me with its cool shade and exquisite designs. I continued to look around and came upon some sailboats drifting in the middle of the ocean, kids playing beach volleyball, the calming soft waves splashing against the shore. I almost started day dreaming but then my order came! I paid for my ice-cream and immediately took a bite. The creamy taste of chocolate filled my mouth leaving a melting sensation. I was immediately cooled down from the scorching sun and my whole body relaxed. I took a bite from the waffle cone making a loud “CRUNCH” but I just continued enjoying it. I didn’t even know how fast I finished the cone until I snapped back into reality from the squeaking of the wheels of the ice-cream cart. I sadly realized my ice-cream cone was gone but I knew that was the best ice-cream cone ever!…

    Spring Break Narrative

My family and I took a trip to Hawaii the spring break of my sophomore year. It was an incredible experience, but I found that I was unable to just have a good time, as I spent much of my time in our hotel room studying for upcoming AP tests. I had a profound moment walking back to our hotel on the last night of our stay. It was truly peaceful there, and I felt like I strolling through a intricately-crafted dream. The sky was a dark blue-black, the air was comfortably warm and tasted of salt, and a light breeze blew. We were walking on a path through the beach, surrounded by the sounds of ocean waves and satisfied people in seaside restaurants. I was more relaxed than I had been or would be in a long time. I was struck with a compulsion to record the sounds of the moment, knowing that it would be put me at ease to hear it in the weeks to come. I cannot remember exactly why I decided not to record it, but I knew the glare of my phone would ruin the moment, like a harsh alarm bringing me back to reality. I might have been a little happier if I had. Now, knowing that I am not going to have an opportunity to visit Hawaii again for many years, I wished I had spent a little more time appreciating my brief escape from school, Chicago, and my generally normal life. I could have taken a lesson from that trip to California so many years…
