One of the world's most saddest days in American history was 9/11. 9/11 marks the day the twin towers collapsed, when the Pentagon in New York was destroyed and when one of the planes crashed in Pennsylvania. As today 9/11 is known as one of the world's most horrific terrorist attack. They believed that Osama Bin Laden,Khalid Sheikh,and Mohammed Atef were the ones that plotted the attack. It was also believe that Atef was the one who organized the hijacking.

It all Started when a group called Al-Qaeda hijacked four planes and crashed into the Twin Towers. At 8:46 Mohammed Atta and other hijackers aboard the plane crashing the plane through 93-99 floors of the north tower killing everyone on board and hundreds inside the building. Then at 9:03 Hijackers on Flight 175 crashed onto the south tower killing everyone on board and hundreds in the building.

Flight 77 was the third Flight that crashed into the pentagon. The Pentagon in Washington DC was attacked at 9:37 with 58 people on board and killing around 243 people in this attack. People assume that the Pentagon got hit because it was the Headquarters of The US Department of defence. Others assume it was because of their religious calling.

The last plane that was hijacked landed in a field in Pennsylvania at 10:03. People believed that Flight 93 was targeted to hit the White House. But during the flight that they lost control during an attempt by the passengers and the crew to regain control. The plane landed in a Rural field near Shanksville in Western Pennsylvania. The impact killed over 44 people on board.

As you see, the attack on September 11 was a horrific day in America's history. Not only did it affect Americans it is also affected immigrants.
