A Career As An Assistant Operations Officer

Helping people is my passion. I opine that is exactly what the Assistant Operations Officer duties and responsibilities are. I am excited about the opportunity to serve my colleagues in this capacity. I have distinguished myself as a champion of mission readiness, professionalism, accountability, as well as that of being a team player. I believe my previous experience dealing with millions of dollars of inventory on databases and spreadsheets sets me apart. I have the experience to manipulate spreadsheets such as excel in a timely fashion, which is paramount to success in this position and the overall mission. I competed for and was appointed as a temporary Assistant Operations Officer for twenty-eight days. During this time, I was successful
in completing several tasks such as the daily Recovery List and running the nightly reports to be given to the Detroit management team. I was able to help in the coordination and integration of the FAM team’s scheduling, as it related to international and domestic deployments, for the Detroit Field Office. I to created and submitted schedule changes through SOCs Auto, as well as, the operations office database menu. I spoke with the Mission Operations Control (MOC) watch desk as well, to complete day of schedule changes. The mentoring and knowledge I received was outstanding. During my time in operations, the Miami Field Office performed a live recall drill in response to Hurricane Matthew. I received and tracked all responses from their personnel accurately. I sent the information back to the Miami Field Office. The recall drill was considered a success and the Miami Field Office was appreciative of my efforts.

I have continued to demonstrate my dependability and professionalism throughout my career as a Federal Air Marshal. I look forward to serving and believe I would be an asset to the operations section. Thank you for your consideration.
