God’ Love Concurs ALL
Through my experience I have noticed that unknowledgeable people make up their own essence of Christianity. One might believe that you just need to be a “good person” and do “good deeds,” and another would say just as long as you attend Church. I believe these are more of what we do as a Christian. However, the foundation of Christianity is understanding & believing the death and resurrection of Jesus. The Christian worldview is based on confessing sins and giving one’s life to the Lord. Turning away from the evil desires of this world and awaiting what God has in store for us in Heaven. The worldview of Christians is that this material world belongs to the devil and we must fight …show more content…
him until the end. With that being said, as a Christian myself it has taught me to understand the true meaning of love, forgiveness, hope, and my purpose in life.
God
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them (1 John 4:16). God himself is the best definition of love. If we truly know God we will understand what true love is all about. Love is Jesus giving his life for us. I believe we should love others, because God loves us unconditionally. God’ characteristic of being personal sets him apart from the so-called “gods” of other religions. He is the Creator of the Universe and knows every detail of his creation; God is all-knowing, ever present, and all-powerful (Matthew 10:29-31). I feel like we are not able to live pleasing to God until we truly love him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength! The greatest demonstration of love is when God died on the cross for us as …show more content…
Jesus.
Jesus
Jesus became our supreme example as God in human form, but still remained God (Philippians 2:5-11). Jesus had a specific mission to accomplish, to save humankind from sin. Jesus did not die for us while we were his friends, but while we were his enemies, opposing him by our sinfulness. Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice by enduring tremendous pain so that we could enjoy eternity with him. I have seen Jesus transform people within my own life, taking them from being the most unlikely person into one of the most powerful witnesses on his behalf; And I feel confident and patient knowing that God has a purpose for my life!
Humanity
Before I gave my life to the Lord I would find myself asking, what is missing in my life?
I feel that we all have a purpose, meaning, reason for living, which are all things we desire and search for in life. No matter what steps we take to find a purpose and meaning in life, we still feel empty, unfulfilled. I believe this is because there is a spiritual emptiness in each of our lives, a hole in our heart. Possessions, success, drugs, relationships, even religion alone cannot satisfy this emptiness. The only way to fill this void is to ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus into your heart. However, we all have a serious problem we sin because we are sinners! King David wrote “For I was born a sinner-yes, from the moment my mother conceived me
(Psalm51:5).”
Analysis
I believe Jesus has an eternal kingdom that extends beyond the boundaries of space and time (Revelation 1:4-8). I believe that the universe is an open system, which is influenced by God and other spiritual beings (angels, demons, holy spirit). I also believe that God (an intelligent being) created the universe making it an orderly & perfect system.
Reflection
I view the Bible as our instructions for life, without it we are like lost souls. I strongly believe that by having God as my foundation, will ultimately shape my other views of this world.
“For Jesus, love for God does not come at the expense of love for one’s fellow human being. This brings us deep into the logic of the Christian worldview. The reason for this, quite simply, is that humans reflect the image of God. If an individual cannot bring oneself to love a fellow human being, created in the image of God, he or she will not be able to love God (Merrick, Ch.6).” I feel like being a Christian makes us a better person from the inside out. Once you give your life to the Lord, others will see how your life has changed for the better and want what you have, the Holy-Spirit.
Conclusion
I am not perfect, I have just been saved by a God who is, and I CHOOSE to live my life Christ-like each and every day
