Cannabis has been around for many years. Many people use it when they do know what harm it is doing to their body. With them knowing this the still use this very harmful drug. I believe that this is a controversial argument and I think it would be a ridiculous idea. People just have to see the harm the drug is doing being illegal it would be a lot worse if it was legal.
The legalisation of cannabis would be a nightmare for many people. If you were a parent and you keep telling your children through their childhood that cannabis is bad for your health and it is illegal. If they see that it’s ok to take cannabis they will stop thing that it is something bad for them which it is.
Our government have a duty to protect the people in the Great Britain. They can’t help you if you are smoke cannabis and think that it is alright for you just because it is legal. They government have enough money problem without having to get people who are addicted to cannabis of it.
During the Vietnam War many American soldiers smoked cannabis when it was freely available and then more people used them and became addicted. This is true you just have to see the amount of people who smoke and drink alcohol. Cigarettes and alcohol are legal and cause so much trouble for many people. If you want to legalise cannabis there be more problems and it would cost the NHS loads of money each year.
Smoking cannabis has also been known to lead to number different types of cancer. So if you know that it leads to so many different types of cancer why would you still want to take cannabis. Smoking this could also cost the NHS a fortune to trying and teat people with all these harmful diseases. It is also said to lead to paranoia and even mental health tis would also cause a lot of money for the NHS to try and treat these people.
