APA Assignment Analysis
I actually really enjoyed this activity and thought it was extremely helpful! I went through the assignment at first answering the questions with my own knowledge. When I went through a second time, double checking with Purdue Owl and APA I was really surprised and proud at how much I already knew. I also thought this activity improved my navigation skills for the sites Purdue Owl and APA. I found Purdue Owl can basically answer any question regarding APA formatting. One thing I thought of while reflecting on this activity was that it could be helpful to have a question on referencing lecture notes. In conclusion, great activity Shyam!
After completing this activity, I feel more confident in my ability to use APA. However, there are some areas
I still struggle with when writing APA papers. Commas are a huge struggle for me, I find myself using them incorrectly quite often when using APA and in general. A second area I struggle with when writing in APA is referencing information from more atypical sources. These more unusual sources include things like a manual, video tape, lecture notes, etc. However, Purdue Owl does a great job offering a formatting guide for many different types of sources.
