Abortion
“I’ve realized that mostly everybody that is for abortion is already born” –Ronald Reagan. For many years there has been different people taking different walks of life that has different opinions of abortion. For some people abortion is never wrong, for others abortion is O.K, and for the limited few- abortions is never right. Many women in the world have abortions due to several reasons: financial needs, social needs, family/relationship problems, and religious values. Whatever the situation is there should be no involvement with having an abortion. In the speech I will like to persuade you why abortion is not the right thing to do when it comes to life and death of an unborn child.
Women in the US do not realize the negative effects that killing the fetus can cause. Scientists identify the first moment of human life when the sperm and the egg unites (Shettles). No women or man should have the right to choose if a baby should live or not. The fetus is meaningful and has potential life. After conception, no event occurs in the development of the fetus that indicates a change in the fetus from not being human to becoming one (Foster 33). According to David C. Reardon, 252 women took a survey for abortions. The average age was 21 years old and out of the 252 people 45% of the women said that they were not satisfied with the choice they made at the time. Mostly 84% thought that their decision was not well thought out. Though the fetus is living 70% thought the fetus was not living before the abortion. After the abortion 90% thought it was living. Almost everyone who went through with the abortion had negative feelings towards it. These results show the regret accompanied with abortion. Most women that went on in abortion felt they

Abortion is never an easy decision, in fact its one of America's most controversial issues in today's reality, but women have none the less been making that choice for thousands of years. Studies show that about 43% of American women will have one or more abortions during their lifetime, and women's centers and hospitals perform more than a million abortions on an annual basis. Women have many reasons for not wanting to be pregnant including age, marital status, economic status, and the circumstances of their pregnancy, and thus seek out an abortion. Although many citizens view abortion as an immoral act of brutality and strongly contest its usage, others believe the choice belongs solely to the mother and the mother alone.…

Abortion has been one of the biggest controversies of all time. Many people believe it is immoral and even consider it to be murder. Abortion is defined as: the termination of pregnancy by the removal from the uterus of a fetus or embryo prior to being capable of normal growth. Pro-life believers do not support this idea of induced abortion and believe it should be illegal. Many of these supporters do not realize that if abortion were illegal they would still be performed; back-alley abortions, as well as self-induced abortions have been done as long as history has been written, unfortunately by illegalizing abortion it is not preventing it from happening, rather forcing women to once again undergo unsafe, potentially harmful situations.…
