Abortions and Why Its Wrong
Abortion is a touchy subject in America, because if what it stands for. Abortions end the life of an embryo before it’s completely developed. Abortions are legal and my argument is that it’s should be illegal and for many reasons.

The word abortion comes from the Latin abortio, which means to abort, miscarry, and deliver prematurely. The Latin word abortus means "miscarriage, premature, untimely birth". In medicine abortion means ending a pregnancy prematurely. (http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/releases/145870.php/ paragraph 1)

There is more than one type of abortion, but one in mind that feels most illegal is the one that involves suction. This is where the baby is suctions from the womb, almost like a vacuum cleaner suctioning this baby out. It’s really like murder because, even at 8 weeks pregnant a baby has eye lids, and move the tongue, suck his/her thumb and even jump around. With doctors knowing this information, they should have been more persuasive and made a more persuasive argument to the fact that this is killing a living, breathing baby.

There are children getting abortions under the ages of 21 and all they have to have is a parent approval. What kind of message is this sending to our children? This is not teaching our children anything except for how to murder a child. I have seen a child under 21 with two abortions. This is not right.

First and foremost an abortion is biblically incorrect. The bible teaches us not to kill, although the bible doesn’t specifically speak of abortions, it does say that God knows our thought even before we think them. For example: Psalm 29 139 “O Lord, you have searched me and known me! 2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.3 You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. 4 Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. 5 You them me in, behind and before, and u lay your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too

Abortion is the termination of human pregnancy. According to Greenberg, Bruess & Conklin there are two types of abortion, Spontaneous abortions, and induced abortion. The natural termination of a pregnancy is called spontaneous abortion or usually called miscarriages, and it occurs when the fetus stop developing and its expulse from the utero. Abortions requiring intervention to end the pregnancy are technically called Induce Abortion. Induce abortion has various methods including Vacuum aspiration, manual vacuum aspiration, medical abortion, or dilation and evacuation. Vacuum aspiration is the most common abortion in the United States, and is a “surgical procedure that uses a suction tube to evacuate the contents of the uterus, which can be used through the first weeks and the second trimester” (Greenberg, Bruess & Conklin, 2010). The manual vacuum aspiration (MVA) is a variation of vacuum aspiration that can be used from the detection of pregnancy up to 12 weeks since the last menstrual period. (Greenberg, Bruess & Conklin, 2010). The medical abortion is the used of drug to provoke the abortion. Dilation and evacuation occurs during the second trimester of pregnancy. This type of induces abortion “involves dilating the cervix, scraping the wall of the uterus and removing the endometrial lining with suction” (Greenberg, Bruess & Conklin, 2010).…

Abortion violates the Bible and God himself. The King James Version Bible states “ Thou shalt not kill” in Exodus 20:13. Abortion is the same thing as killing. Genesis 2:7 says “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Proverbs 6:16-17 says that God hates those who shed innocent blood. Abortion is the act of shedding innocent blood. Deuteronomy 27:25 says, "Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen." It also goes against the Golden Rule, “Therefore all things whatsoever…

    Why Abortion Is Immoral

    • 491 Words
    • 2 Pages

Why Abortion Is Immoral was written by Don Marquis. His thesis is described in the title. He started off by establishing some historical facts about abortion. According him there were no laws prohibiting abortion in the United States until well into the 19th century. By the 20th century every state passed laws to prohibit it. In 1973 in the case Roe vs. Wade, the Supreme Court ruled that the laws outlawing abortion violated women’s rights to privacy. He then implies that the legal status of abortion could possibly change in the near future. Marquis believes that the crucial moral question about abortion is “Do we have the same reasons not to kill a fetus that we have not to kill an adult?” He believes it’s wrong because it deprives them of their future. According to Marquis, abortion is seriously immoral with rare exceptions.…

When looking at statistics it is very overwhelming to see that approximately 42 million abortions occur yearly worldwide (Guttmacher). Society has made it like it is no big deal to have an abortion now a days. We are blind to what is really going on and how bad it really is. People seem to look the other way than to really see that it is happening to their friends and family. People seem to distract others so not to see how badly it really is. This is a type of Red Herring (distraction) from the major problems. (Moore). There are many reasons why abortion should not be legal, long term health risks, physical damage, psychological and spiritual impact.…
