Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve
Gay marriage

Some may believe that gay marriage isn’t morally wrong; while mainly strong biblical based Christians (the opposing side) states it is; I am for the opposing side. The policy should not be changed in the states that are against gay marriage, and define marriage as between one man and one woman. In the other states and countries, the legalization of gay marriage still exists. Something should be done about this.

Homosexuality is considered an Abomination My first argument is coming from Leviticus 20:13, where it states “a man shall not lie with another man as he would with a woman, and if he does, this act will be considered an abomination in the eyes of God.” When God uses the word “abomination” to describe this specific sin, he is using the strongest and most intense word that He can possibly use to describe what He really thinks about this particular sin. Homosexuality is not what God intended while creating this earth and its people.

He created Adam, He then created Eve
Male and Female he created them. When God created this earth, and then Adam, he then created a partner for him; he created Eve, not another Adam. This means that perfect partnership requires some level of difference as well as similarity so great to the point that Adam could cry out loudly, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh”. Sexual intimacy between a man and a woman is the normal method of male and female bonding (emotionally and physically) because it corresponds to the design of our bodies and because it is the normal means in which to reproduce.

The design of our body contradicts homosexuality If God had intended humans to be fulfilled through both heterosexual and homosexual marriage, He would have designed our bodies to allow reproduction through both means and made both of the sexual intercourse healthy and natural. Homosexual anal intercourse carries a high risk of disease, this is recognized in Scripture where gay men are said to receive in their bodies the due penalty for their error. (Romans 1:27).

Not a Godly marriage with a same sex union
1 Timothy 1:9-10, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, & Romans 1:26-27 are all references that indicate that homosexual passions and actions are unnatural, shameful, and deny entrance to the Kingdom of God. In which, this in general is wrong. This cannot be the basis of a Christian marriage blessed by God's Church. No matter whatever our society may legislate; the law of God is clear, that a marriage is not a godly marriage if it is a same sex union.

Therefore, Gay marriage should not be promoted. It should be banned across all states. Marriage is strictly defined as a union between a man and a woman. Also, if the legalization of marriage between same sex partners, our society would gradually be more acceptant, and give the impression to future generations that homosexuality is not morally wrong, and opinions and our culture will begin to differ. In conclusion, my opinion believes that marriage between same sexes is unethical and should not be legalized.

The way we view homosexuality has very much to do with how we were raised and taught depending on where we are from, our parents beliefs and what others around us tell us. Because of this we believe what we believe and will stand by them unless we ourselves come to a different conclusion as we grow older. I was raised a Catholic and was taught by the Bible teachings that homosexuality was wrong and will go to hell if that is what you practiced. In this paper we will look a little at the historical and scientific perspectives of homosexuality.…

Heterosexual persons have right to marry foreigners and live with their love one. If person is homosexual, he can not marry a same-sex partner from another county (Action Alert). No matter how long the couple has been together or how committed their relationship. It means that many same-sex national couples must live apart for long period of time, perhaps years or decades, until the foreign partner finds some other way to get a green card. The common argument is about the gay relationships are immoral. The freedom of religion implied the right to freedom from religion as well. The Bible has absolutely no standing in American law, and because it doesn 't, no one has the right to impose rules anyone else simply because of something they perceive to be mandated by the Bible. There should be a moot point, Separation of church and state. Some religious leaders are the most forceful advocates of same-sex marriage. In Hawaii alone, many faiths such as the Reform branches of Judaism, Quaker, Buddhist, Episcopal and many individual Protestant Congregations are involved in the pro-marriage campaign (Rotello…

The changes in society's attitudes to love, sex and marriage in the last few decades requires one to look at the Christian idea of marriage, and to see if the Bible's teaching can still hold power. One fundamental question that must be revisited concerns what it actually is that constitutes a marriage. Should it be defined as a sexual union, or as a covenant? If it is a sexual union, does sex carry responsibilities, even if no covenant has been made? If it is a covenant, what period does it cover? Is it for life? Does it cover life leading up to it, as well as life after it is made?…

In the bible God created man and woman for a purpose. This purpose was to be able to reproduce the population and for one man to be in love and with one woman. I do not believe that in a homosexuality house hold that a child would be raised properly and normally like most children are able to be raised. I feel putting children in that environment is suggesting that homosexuality is okay and it truly isn’t when in terms of the bible. This sin was so important to God that he directly approached the subject in the bible saying it is a sin and that a man should be with a woman and a woman should be with a man. Being a huge supporter of the Christian faith because I am apart of that faith, I believe that being a homosexual is dishonorable and truly upsets God.…

Many churches preached against gay rights, saying things like, “Homosexuals are sinners, god didn’t want this, and my favorite, god made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.” “Leviticus 20:13 - If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.” (Bible). When people read things like this in the bible it’s basically telling them it’s okay to discriminate against others, such as homosexuals. It is so wrong that the bible consists of sch horrible, degrading passages, saying if a man is in sexual relations with another man they should be put to death. The bible also states, “Leviticus 18:22 - Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination.” Don’t get me wrong I see no problem believing in god, but I don’t believe people should take the bible as serious as they do. The bible doesn’t only talk about discrimination against homosexuality, it also talks about how women must listen to their husbands, and different foods you shouldn’t eat because if you don’t obey the bible you are going to hell. Leviticus 19:27 reads, “You shall not round off the side-growth of your heads nor harm the edges of your beard.” That’s basically saying you can’t cut your hair or you’re going to hell, which is complete stupidity. The bible also states, “You are to keep my statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together.” The bible just has ridiculous “laws” that you must abide by like not mixing two fabrics, therefore saying you can’t wear polyester. I think it’s foolish that many people know the bible has irrational passages written in it, but insist on saying, “According to the bible homosexuality is…

Opponents of same-sex marriage argue that marriage is a union between a man and a woman and they view anything else as morally wrong. They claim that homosexual marriage is unconstitutional and would destroy the sanctity of marriage. I believe that gays and lesbians should have the right to marry legally; it would allow them to have several legal benefits, such as medical coverage and pension rights. These same marital rights are given to heterosexual couples, so why would homosexual couples be deprived? I believe that the government should not interfere in personal matters such as marriage. In the United States alone there are over eighty-four major religions that are practiced. Why is it that many of the laws that this country enforce is…

I looked for a good source for the answer to those two questions. The best one’s I could find was the Holy Bible about marriage. The question that is very much debated in America today is whether or not homosexuals should be allowed to get married here in the United States. There are many different opinions on the subject and my feelings are, if two people love each other and are able to commit to one another and remain in a relationship as husband and wife then it should not matter if it is two men, or two women that are making this type of commitment. There are some people that believe marriage of two people of the same sex is not moral and I have to disagree with this.…

When it comes to the bible and people against homosexuality I feel there are a lot of contradictions. There are so many because so may people say they follow the bible and say the bible does not believe in homosexuality and there going to believe what the bible says, but so many people say that and do not follow the bible down to a tee. They say being gay is wrong, but what about having sex before marriage. There are so many people who are not following all the bible rules so I feel they should not preach something's in the bible if there not following every rule. Also the bible was not written by god. So we do not officially know what god expects from us. The bible was written by man and we know males are the biggest homophobic genders…

The debate of gay marriage is very complex, due to the many different feelings people express on the topic. One opinion is that gay marriage should be legalized nationally. Others feel that gay marriage should not be legalized but civil unions should be granted to homosexuals so they have an alternative that allows gays and lesbians to receive something that compares to the same rights as marriage. On the other hand there is a large group that believes neither gay marriage nor civil unions should be offered to gay and lesbian couples and that any legal union should be available to heterosexual couples only. The different opinions that are expressed by society’s attitudes towards gay marriage continue to cause great controversy throughout the country, and should come to a halt by allowing homosexuals to wed.…

Another argument is that homosexuality is unnatural. It is found outside humanity. Penguins and dolphins, for example, show homosexuality and bisexuality in the wild as well as when captive. Being gay is like being “left-handed sexually”: part of the natural spectrum. The American Psychological Association supports homosexuality and same sex marriage. Their reasons? It is perfectly natural. Also, it is important for mental health that same sex couples be given the same rights, benefits, and responsibilities as heterosexual couples. Another important argument is the effects on children.…

What are the fundamentals of marriage? The way that I view marriage is simply defined as a lifelong union between one man and one woman, begun at the time they generously commit themselves to each other. I believe, as the Bible teaches, that God instituted marriage on the sixth day of creation and that God is the one who joins every man and woman in marriage. For example “This is why a man leaves his father and mother and bonds with his wife, and they become one flesh” (Genesis 2:24). “The Lord God said, ‘It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him” (Genesis 2:18). So that’s what God did, he made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. God has blessed marriage for unbelievers and believers alike but when the question arises whether marriage has to involve a man and woman; the topic of marriage becomes much more difficult to define. A marriage was explicitly defined in federal law as a union of one man and one woman up until 2004 when Massachusetts constitution ruled to allow heterosexual couples to marry. Since then there have been many disputes on this topic of Gay marriage rights in America.…
