Addendum Analysis
In certain situations an Addendum must be added to an order to ensure it is accepted by the VA. The focus of an Addendum is to ensure LHI is providing the VBA with all of the information they need to rate the Veterans claim. Addendums may be needed to meet specific VBA request, or out of compassion for a terminal Veteran to expedite their ability to receive benefits.
Notification an Addendum is needed
If an Addendum is required for one of your completed exams, you will receive an email notification. This notification will specify which order needs an Addendum and specifically what clarification is needed.

    Appendix G Case Study

The client’s performance in the initial few days of the program experienced a negative trend, which is visible in the graph in appendix G. The possible reasons for the trend were discussed with the client’s primary instructor therapist and the supervising therapist. Revisions were proposed although ultimately deemed unnecessary. A lack of attention was hypothesized as the main obstacle linked to the client’s low performance. Possible changes that were considered included: holding up the pictures at eye level or labeling the cards with the corresponding names prior to the Sd. However, the supervising therapist suggested that there were no issues with the program plan, the problem rested with the client’s attending behaviour. Thus, ITs were asked to ensure they had the client’s attention before delivering the Sd. If attention was an issue, the IT should stop running the program to limit the impact on the data. The data collected initially could be considered a non-comprehensive representation of the client’s true abilities with identifying his picture due to an attention problem.…

    Summary of Corrections

Each year more than 700,000 individuals are released from prisons nationwide. Among released prisoners, younger males with extensive criminal histories are often at greatest risk of future recidivism. Social control theories suggest that employment helps prevent criminal activity by providing individuals with legitimate ties to conventional society. However social capital theorists argue that the interpersonal relationships individuals form through employment can aid desistance from criminal behavior. Using a multistate longitudinal design, Visher and colleagues found that former prisoners who worked more weeks and had higher earnings the first few months after release were likely to be incarcerated 1 and 3 years after release. Results from previous evaluation efforts have shown that such employment programs have limited ability to reduce recidivism. Meta-analyses of employment programs for former prisoners have found little if any effect on post-prison criminal activity. The evaluation of the New York City based Center for Employment Opportunities is particularly relevant and important. The program is designed to help former prisoners obtain earnings and work experience soon after release and to obtain permanent unsubsidized employment, in order to improve long term recidivism outcomes. The long term random assignment is funded by the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human services and the U.S. Department of Labor. The evaluation led by MDRC and the urban institute, assesses the impact of CEO on employment and recidivism for program participants compared with control group participants.…

As a result of the process, my product was undoubtedly a success. The product meets all of the criteria including being easy for a beginner to understand and being effective in teaching someone to play the violin After testing, I needed to do a little bit of tweaking with the help of my sister. Since she helped me test my product, it was nice to get her feedback. My research about teaching helped me to explain things while testing and helped me to set up my handbook in a way that organized the concepts from easiest to hardest. Additionally, my planning allowed me to visualize what the guide was going to look like and what content would be found in each chapter of the book (see appendix K).…
