The article states, minorities such as Hispanics, African Americans, and Native Americans will benefit because the top two predominant races in the universities are white and Asians. Since whites and Asians are the top two predominant races on college campuses, this leaves more room for minorities such as Native Americans, African Americans and Hispanics. Although each university in the nation has a different perspective on affirmative action, Stanford believes in affirmative action because it controls the campus and learning environment.
All things considered, The Stanford Daily Editorial Board, supports affirmative action as it asserts, “We support race-based affirmative action to bring about a more diverse student body.” Along with supporting affirmative action, the board believes that it will help college students overall by the experience and expanding
