Age Violence Research Paper
As technology has advanced over the years, children are exposed to the real world earlier and earlier. Growing up in the age violence is everywhere, it is hard to escape it. Violence is on the television, computer, and in video games. Does seeing all this violence have a negative effect on society? When asking this question one may get a wide range of answers. The truth is that it does have a negative effect. When all the young people of society are seeing day in and day out is killing and abuse and foul activities, it begins to mold them. From day one you are molded. You are molded by the people you surround yourself with, the games you play, what you watch on the television, what you listen to, and so on. If all you have seen is violence
on the news, and then violence in video games. It will mold you. When you grow up seeing your father playing games such as “Call of Duty” or “Grand Theft Auto” you are molded.
When one of the most important and influential people in your life are playing games that promote violence, children begin to believe it is the right thing. What you put in will come out, seeing horrible violence will seep out. People will begin to think that it is like the games. People will just respawn, they do not.
In conclusion, violence on the television and on video games does effect society in a negative way. Seeing these things from a young age is also potentially traumatizing. What comes in, goes out.
