Outline- Michael Jordan I. Introduction a) 3 significant events 1. Decided to go to UNC (University of North Carolina) 2. Drafted into NBA (After junior year of college) 3. Father shot and killed b) While Michael Jordan achieved becoming the greatest basketball player ever, one can argue that he would have not been able to accomplish this success without having experienced college basketball (UNC), by being drafted by the Chicago Bulls, and his father being shot and killed. Because these were all events that deeply affected his dream. II. Personal Information a) Born February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York b) Youngest of Five Children c) He always played baseball. Then his dad put a basketball court in there backyard d) He became the greatest basketball player in the history of the NBA e) He face multiple obstacles, but the most important one was his fathers death f) When Michael broke his foot he went back to UNC to get his degree in computer science

    Michael Jordan was always underestimated. In high school, he lead his team , Emsley A. Laney, to the state playoffs his Junior and Senior year. After high school, Michael played 3 years on scholarship at University of Carolina. In 1984, Jordan was the 3rd pick of the NBA draft. Jordan played 8 seasons with the Chicago Bulls, earning “Rookie of the Year” award, 6 consecutive national championships, 3 NBA MVP’s, and 2 olympic gold medals. After 8 seasons, Jordan retired to play professional baseball. 2 years later, Jordan quit baseball and came back to the NBA and played 6 seasons as the star of the Washington Wizards, before he retired for a second and final time. In our today's society we refer to elite athletes in all sports as "The Michael Jordan" of their sports. His achievements in sports play a significant impact on the youth's perception of the game.
