Alexander iii of Macedon (alexander the great), 32, of Pella, Greece, Died June 10th, 323 B.C. of natural causes.
He was born to father Phillip II and mother Olympias on July 20th 356 B.C. in Pella, Greece. Alexander was taught by Aristotle for his education which gave him a lot of his knowledge. Alexander had 5 siblings Cleopatra of Macedon, Phillip III of Macedon, Thessaloniki of Macedon, Cananas, and Europa of Macedon; he also leaves behind his dog named Pertias. Alexander had one kid named Alexander IV who was born shortly after alexander died; he also was married to three wives named Roxana, Stateria II, and Parytis II. All of his family will miss him. Alexander was a great military general with a great mind.
He devised ways to lay waste to enemies with more men and resources. The reasons why he was such a great general is because he knew how to exploit the enemy’s and use the right formation and attack plans against certain armies, he knew how to use the battle field to his advantage. He had many achievements in his career like conquering the Persian empire, re-conquering Greece, founded the city of Alexandria also in 13 short years he amassed the largest empire in the entire ancient world an empire that covered 3,000 miles. Hellenistic culture is what Alexander the Great left behind after he died. It was a culture of philosophy, literature, and art. It was also very well known for preserving the past as well as the present for the future. Alexander the Great impacted Greece because he invaded so much land he was able to get the Greeks to know the other cultures that they didn't know were there so, also From Hellenistic culture we get theories on astronomy, mathematics, and physics to this day. Without it we wouldn’t know a lot of the stuff we do today.
