Attention Getter: In this public speaking class, we have 74 days left until the end of the semester, and for some of us the end of high school entirely. We have 96 hours and 42 minutes left in this class, but my speech will only take five minutes or about 0.086% of our class time together. Since this is such a small percentage of our time, hopefully you will listen listen and learn something interesting about me.

Thesis Statement: Today, I am gonna tell you about me and some information you, as the audience, may not know.

Here is a little about me.
I am currently 18 years old.
I live in Eldridge, Iowa.
I have four brothers, all different ages: 3, 4, 13 and 15.
Next year, I will be continuing my intramural basketball career at the University of Iowa.
While there, I will also be studying for a degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering.
Transition: Now that I’ve discussed some background information, I will move into my hobbies and activities.
Most of my hobbies and activities revolve around one thing, sports.
I play basketball and run cross country and track.
When I am at home, I am usually watching sports on TV.
If I play my PS4, it is exclusively sports games.
My favorite sport is basketball.
My favorite professional sports teams are the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL, Dallas Mavericks of the NBA, and the New York Mets of the MLB.
Transition: Now that you know more about me and my hobbies, I will discuss some unique and trivial facts about myself.
I have been very lucky in my life and I have had some genuinely cool experiences.
I have been to three countries outside of the US: Scotland, England, and Costa Rica.
I have ridden the London Eye(the big ferris wheel).
While in Costa Rica, I was robbed at
gunpoint.
I have been to two places featured on the TV Ghost Adventures. They are the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park and the Edinburgh Caverns underneath Edinburgh, Scotland.
I have been to two NFL games, one NBA game and six MLB games.
I have a autographed pennant by future Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez.
I also have a signed David Wright baseball.
Conclusion:
Final Summary: From my four brothers to overseas adventures, my life has been unique, different and chaotic.
