Why I Appreciate Veterans Essay Freedom. To most in the United States it is a normal occurrence but do they really know what it takes to get that freedom? Loyal, dedicated people who are now known as veterans helped us achieve this. Veterans risked their lives fighting for what they believed in, for you and I to have our rights as U.S. citizens.
I appreciate American veterans because they sacrificed themselves to preserve the way we live every day. They are brave, no matter what was thrown at them they got through it. Veterans deserve more respect than they are given and should not be limited to only one day of thanks.
Every time you see a veteran you should thank them for all they have done for this country. Without them we would not have this country or freedom that we so carelessly enjoy.
Veterans show a positive example of a hero to the younger generation and even some adults. They also help, as i keep saying, keep younger generations away from the violence of war.
As the war with Afghanistan ends, 2349 U.S. men were killed and
275 men have had partial or complete limb amputations. We will have a new set of veterans to thank when they return. Some men may not return, but we should try to help them ones now like they helped us.

This quote could not be any more right, we can only make sure that they get all the help that they rightfully deserve. I hope that everyone will thank any veteran they see for their service to show respect.
