Amy Rose Girl: A Short Story: The Girl's Story
“SOOOOOOOOOOOONICCCCCCCCC," I cried while spitting out loose strands of hair from my mouth, "Where-Where are youuuuuuu?!--" As if the wind hadn’t distorted my words enough, my quills stabbed the sound waves as they were wiggling out of vocal cords.
The only response I received was another mouth full of quills. Oh why thank you, wind.
Regardless of the interruptions, Sonic should’ve been able to hear me. Then I realized: Oh-no, what if he’s injured? Oh Eggman, you better pray I find Sonic again – and he better not have a scratch on him, or else!
Calm down, Amy. Calm down. Focus. I forced myself to stop hyperventilating. My hero has to be around here somewhere… But where?
I felt something brush my arm and I stumbled down in surprise. But wait

What am I doing? I can’t waste any more time! I watched his blue body descend into one of the canyons. Well, this looks like a job for Amy Rose!
My hammer materialized in my hands as my lips formed the words “Rose Wind.” Right on cue, a cloud of petals appeared, echoing the color of the sunrise overhead. Directed by the wind, the petals spiraled down towards the blue target, creating a cushion beneath him. But it seemed to no avail. Although it was unconsciously, he was still speeding away from me. It seems no matter what I do, I can never catch up with him.

Do I have to say that ridiculous line?” I groaned.
Knuckles snickered, “Hahahaha, yep!” Do you even care about Sonic? Ugh. Whatever. If I want to get help I’ll have to say it…
I sighed, “Okay fine, you win. Help me, Oh Master Knuckles!” I saw Tails pout at me, “Oh — And Young Master Tails, too! Lend me your power!” My plea for help was genuine, but my words came out overly dramatized. There’s no helping it. How can anyone say those words seriously?
Unfazed by my sarcastic tone, in sync they looked at each other, grinned and said, “Sure thing, Amy!” They gave me a salute and dove towards blue blur.
Lucky them, being able to fly and glide. I mean Sonic has super speed, but Knuckles has super strength and the ability to glide. Tails is a little-boy-genius and can fly! And me? I have… magic? I haven’t used magic since the day Sonic first saved me! My skills are extremely unrefined. I guess I’m kind of acrobatic and have some archeological knowledge, but that took years of training with Shadow and countless months of boring lectures and expeditions with Professor Pickles.

Rose’s Story is a book about the struggles one woman faced through most of her adult life, all while trying to remember her past and also while trying to raise a family of her own. The main character of the story, Rose herself, goes through the “system” so many times having to deal with one medical professional after another, social worker after social worker, case manager after case manager. The story however, starts off with Rose painting what her childhood was like: parents putting her into the system, extended stay at Chatwood (a mental hospital for children to be specific) and what life was like for her overall growing up as a kid.…

How does a positive attitude help avoid conflict? According to Remez Sasson,”It brings optimism into your life, and makes it easier to avoid worries and negative thinking… you see the bright side of life” (Sasson). This shows that seeing the bright side of life will make all worries and negativity dissipate during tough challenges. During World War 2, many people used the method of positivity to endure the misery. From Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, Anne Frank tries to stay positive while in hiding. It was exceedingly challenging getting around without getting captured by the Nazi. Another novel is Dear Miss Breed: True Stories of the Incarceration During World War ll and a Librarian Who Made a Difference from Joanne Oppenheim. One of the many letters is from Louise Ogawa, and she, like all the other Japanese, had to go to an internment camp. To distance herself from the hardships, she tried to stay positive and think of the positive. Having a positive attitude is the best way to respond to conflict, especially during horrendous situations like World War 2.…

A small ripple ran across the surface of the water where he had been. I called out his name, hoping that he had just swam underwater for a second. There wasn't a response. Death is a word commonly associated with the life of Edgar Allan Poe. In Poe’s life it seemed as if anyone he grew close to died, especially women. Poe’s mother Elizabeth Atkins died from tuberculosis, and a couple of years before her death, his father David Poe abandoned the family (Mystery). Poe had lost both of his parents by the age of three and was taken in by John and Frances Allan. Through Poe’s teen years he quarreled with John but grew to love Frances like a mother. Sadly his beloved foster mother passed away when he was just out of college and in the military. After she died he was soon discharged from the army and went to live with his aunt, Maria Clemm, and cousin Virginia. Poe fell in love with Virginia and they soon married (Hutchins). Through this marriage Maria Clemm became his mother figure, “Although there is some debate…

“No!” I tried to scream, but was lost for words. A huge net plunged into our holding cell. Its bright blue appearance made my stomach twist in knots. Frederick screeched as the net dragged his desperate body into the airless wasteland above. The pale creature held his gasping body before my cage, mocking my pain. He was my only friend. I heard his screams ring out for a minute, and then everything went silent.…
