Principles of Health and Social Care Practice

INTRODUCTION
This essay is about the principles of practice in health and social care. It is going to discuss how it is applied when dealing with person-centred care with users of health and social care services, and it will also analyse how policies, legislation, regulation and codes of practice are applied in health and social care settings when providing care for service users.

They should also be trained on how to use equipments, control cross infection, and perform risk assessment on service users, record incident and accident etc.
It is the duty of health and social care worker to know the full range of service users needs, including washing, bathing, getting service users in and out of bed, assistance to the toilet, household chores and tasks, making meals, shopping, or simply spending time with service users and offering a friendly chat to make their life more meaningful. Health and social care worker must make sure that the confidentiality of the service users are maintain at all time, their personal information must not be disclose to anyone except when their life is in danger.
Health and social care worker needs to be accountable when taking service users out, carers must make sure risk assessment is done, make sure they have their medication, put them in a safe environment and protect the public from harm. They should report any incident and accident to the appropriate authority. Health and social care worker should provide service users with their personal, social, religious, cultural, emotional needs when providing care for them, and make sure their principle of support are …show more content…
