However, there are con’s when it comes to having diversity and cultural difference in an organization, which is conflicts. Confused, threatened or even annoyed are the common feeling felt by individuals with views and backgrounds very different from their own; constructive disagreements can become power struggles and create a bad political atmosphere that hinders project advancements. Organizations should encourage employees Recognize & welcome cultural differences. This will make them open-minded to alternative views. Next is adapting to new hires instead of enforcing the traditional corporate culture on them. Constant change is a norm, hence an organizations culture needs to adapt to current generation. For example, an incorporation of diverse culture will allow Gen Y, Gen Xers as well as Baby Boomers to work well alongside. Evaluating how diversity affects the organization’s performance in sales, efficiency, and customers gained or lost is also a factor to look into.
