The first slight movement is the way the carved rhythmic folding of the woman’s cloth is draped on her body. This is throughout the whole sculpture. This is a perfect representation of slight physical implied movement. The other slight physical implied movement is the curls of her hair. The curls of her hair are wavy and nice and located at the top of the sculpture directly below the crown. The two obvious physical implied movements are as follows. The first one is how the baby is moving and the women are trying to hold the baby still. This is shown by the way the women's fingers are depicted at the center of the figure. She is shown as trying to hold the baby still but can’t because he keeps moving and therefore can’t even get a good grip on the baby. The six female dancers sit on the ground separately, spread out in three different columns, and begin to feel their bodies gently as they clasp their hands on their chest, neck, and back. They warmly embrace their individual bodies as if assuring themselves that they have beautiful womanly bodies. Next, the six female dancers twist their bodies quickly to the side and stand on their feet as they raise their upper bodies to a straight position followed by their extended arms slowly rising above their heads. The effect of the women being naked with their limbs spread apart widely dramatically helps the audience understand the true beauty of the female body. The female dancers proceed to rub their breasts with both hands as they glide their fingertips and arms across the top and bottom of their breasts in opposite directions. The lighting of the set is focused on the frontal side of all the female dancers in an effort to focus the audiences eyes on the women's bodies. The technique of a stagnant body position, as the dancers are nude, allows the audience to focus on the upper bodies of the female dancers which helps to express and celebrate the true beauty and elegance of the female…

A characteristic of this statue is representational of the style of hair that was popular in the culture of the time. Long braided locks are arranged on the sculptures of women held by a brim worn atop the forehead. Another distinct characteristic displaying the popular posture present in the scultpure of women in the Archaic period was the positioning of the arms. One arm is positioned across the abdomen while the other across the waistline along their backside. This elegant and graceful pose is acredited to the bow of an actor/actress after their performance in a play still to present day.…

The focal point of the artwork is her face, which is established by placement, contrast and line. The uni-brow is vertically centered and almost horizontally in the middle. The black coloring of the uni-brow is sharply contrasted against the paler, reddish-brown color of her skin. The hummingbird at the bottom not only “points” upwards to the face, but has also been used to imitate Kahlo’s brow, drawing further attention to her facial features. From the uni-brow, the eye then travels back down to the hummingbird, then back towards the cloth crown and butterflies.…
