Scientist can find research however that research needs to be tested as there may be factors that might have been thought about or considered. Scientist can study petri dish and cultures or use computer programs. However, an organism must be tested to see the effect to see the effects as a whole. To see the side effects of a new medication the circulatory systems provides it to different systems.

people who had diabetes especially those with type 1 diabetes as they could die from insufficient amount of insulin. Fredrick Banting a surgeon, wanted to isolate the pancreatic islets by tying the pancreatic duct of dogs and making sure they were alive until the the acini detoriatied, and the islets were isolated. The dogs without a pancreas developed diabetes and by injecting those dogs with injections that contained the pancreatic extract called isleti. The injection reduced their blood glucose. (History of insulin Celeste C. Quianzon)The first injection of isleti was given to a 14 year old boy sand it helped reduce the blood glucose level. (History of insulin Celeste C. Quianzon) The discovery of insulin would not have been possible without testing it on dogs. If Fredrick Banting and Charles Best were prevented from testing their research on dogs on the basis that this was unethical then it would have led to the death of millions of lives.
Animals and humans have similar genes and suffer from same diseases.
Dogs suffer from same cancer as human such as bladder cancer. (Brian w.Davis) Over the past 10 year the largest cause of death of dogs is cancer. By studying these diseases on animals we can figure out new treatments or medicine. The research done on animals is not only benefiting humans but also animals because that new medication or treatment can be used by veterinarians to treat pets that suffer from those diseases.
Animal research has strong ethical laws of how testing must be performed and what criteria must be used. Animal research can only be conducted on the basis that the benefits outweigh the cost. A good experiment has a least number of animals needed to gather the necessary data however the testing must provide significant information. The testing must be done is a way that the animal suffers the least. The animal ethical guidelines are very strict and protocols must be performed by scientist. Since stressing an animal or making them uncomfortable would affect the results of the
study.
In conclusion, medicine would not be the same without using animals for research. The world would not be as advanced as it is today with new medication, treatments, and products for both humans and animals. If the benefits are larger than the consequences for the testing, than scientist have the potential for changing the lives of millions of people.
