Animal Testing Argument
. While animal testing has led to many scientific breakthroughs in the treatments of diseases and illnesses, researchers should consider the animals’ interests and feelings. There should be more readily available alternatives to live animal testing because animals feel pain and have emotions that are no different than humans. Animals are left disfigured, scarred, sick or even die from these strenuous experiments.
Animals have been used throughout history for biomedical research. Greek physicians and scientists, such as Aristotle and Erasistratus, performed experiments on living animals. It is estimated that each year over 100 million animals in the United States are utilized for animal testing. (HSUS) Animals are exploited to test scientific

There are many people that contest the utilization of animals for animal testing even though it is not an elementary concept. They present arguments that all animal research and testing should come to an end because it is wrong to treat animals like they are tools to obtain knowledge. They argue that alternative methods should be developed to end the practice of animal testing. An important piece of the open debate over every living creature's common sense entitlement fixates on the ethical position of a creature. The majority agree that animals have some ethical position and that is the reason it is wrong to mistreat pets or unnecessarily hurt different creatures. This alone speaks to a movement from a past view where creatures had no ethical position and treating a creature was more about keeping up human norms of nobility than honoring any fundamental freedoms of the creature. Today, the question has changed from whether creatures have a moral position to what rights accompany that position. Looking at this point of view, animals should have the same right as a human being, to live a free life without pain and suffering. …show more content…
While animal testing has made important breakthroughs in medications and the treatment of diseases, there need to be bigger steps taken to find new scientific ways to do these tests without the expense of animals. If animal testing is to continue, there need to be stricter guidelines given to ensure the animals are not harmed in any way. These guidelines must be enforced as well. The quality of life that these animals endure is unacceptable and they need to have at the very least more social interaction, better living quarters, and the basic necessities of life. Animal testing and research are becoming obsolete and irrelevant in my opinion and we need and should do better for all the earth’s

Do you ever think about if you are against or in favor of animal research? Animal experimentation is disputed because some people are favor and some are against. Animal research is used to discover those diseases that are without cure and to give the answers to the scientific community. Additionally, the animal experiments begin in ancient Rome and Greece. In the United States all pharmaceutical companies need first to experiment with the animals before humans. Nevertheless, without animal experimentation many of the most important advances in modern medicine would never have occurred. These experiments are important because scientists need to make sure that medicines are as safe and as good as possible before doctors give them to people and to discover more about how the medication works on human bodies.…

When it comes to the topic of animal testing, most of us will readily agree that it is a debatable topic. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question of whether it helps researchers to find new drugs and treatments suitable for humans. Whereas some are convinced that it does help researchers find new drugs and treatments, others maintain that some drugs tested on animals may never actually be useful or even safe for human consumption. In my own view the results of animals testing are unreliable because animals and humans are not genetically or anatomically alike to one another.…

When shopping at a store, no one ever thinks when he or she buys makeup, cleaning products, deodorant or lotion, that it has potentially hurt an innocent animal. In fact, millions of animals die every year due to a chemical drug. Those animals harmed never got a chance to live a normal, animal life; instead, they were put into cages and locked up for years at a time. While animal testing can be used to ensure the safety of certain drugs for humans, potentially killing or harming the animal being tested deems this practice wrong because it is immoral to kill or injure an innocent animal.…

Animal testing has always been a dispute between people; some people think it’s morally wrong and some people think it helps with medical and scientific breakthroughs. Drugs that people use or cosmetics that are used could have been tested through animals before being stocked on shelves. About 800 animals are tested on before a drug is passed to clinical trials (“Is animal”). Many animals get tested on, but many like mice, rabbits, hamsters, monkeys, dogs, cats, pigs, and some other animals get tested on. Animals can be used to find new advances in medical treatment and check safety for products, but these animals that get tested on can go through pain and death. Animal testing is wrong and should be stopped because…

For my research argument essay, I researched animal testing for scientific research. This topic has definitely created controversy with animal rights activists and scientists over the last few decades. At first, my plan was to research specifically cosmetic testing on animals, but after looking at general animal research, I decided to look into using animals for scientific research. My purpose was to convince scientists that supported animal testing, and were unaware of other methods, that there were better ways to do scientific research.…

Animal testing is undoubtedly one of the most controversial issues in modern society. This practice began in the 19th century; animals were used to test dosing of certain drugs and chemicals. In the 1920’s, animals were also being used to test pesticides and food additives (Fano, 11). Today, animal testing is used to study everything from cosmetics to cancer. With such a wide range of opinions on animal rights and human priority, it is no wonder that this topic is so controversial. There are people who have an extreme view on the issue and are either completely pro or completely con. In my opinion, the issue of animal testing is far too complex for one simple answer; its morality lies somewhere in between the two poles. Animal testing is acceptable if it results in saving people’s lives. It is not acceptable, however, if it results in personal or cosmetic products that are far from vital to the human race.…

Animals are unique creatures placed all around the world, each with their own genuine, exotic, and weird personalities. Unfortunately, every year, “scientists” use them to test potentially dangerous products that most people use in our everyday lives. Although scientists claim that there is no other way to test them, and that their work ethics are a necessity to keep the society safe, they are wrong. There are many other ways to test animals without harming them, and “scientists” should be using those ways with no problem. Animal testing is inhumane, cruel and unethical, and there are other, non-harmful ways to test.…
