100 million animals are sitting in a lab, in a cage and are suffering or dying. These creatures are victims of animal testing. Animal are treated very terribly as test subjects. They are forced to bear inhumane test, while having no one to save them. The test results are not even as accurate as people think. The only solution is to strictly limit or completely ban animal testing. If animal testing persists, many animals will suffer and die, so alternatives such as computers, simulators and volunteers are necessary.
Animals are being tested for a number of reasons. The United States government requires testing on medicine (Britanica). New technologies allow animals to be free of testing, but are much more expensive. The new technologies could be faster, and more accurate. Animals are also an easy test, and because of their short life span, generations can be observed in a matter of years(). This makes observation very easy. Animals virtually have no rights, or very little that protect them, so companies really have the final say on testing. While many people believe animals should be treated humanely, most people will not give up meat, leather or fur, or buying products tested on animals().
