This article is a quick guide to micro messaging. It defines Twitter’s terms that are “often a gibberish in uniformed eyes”. It encourages the readers to tweet in less than 140 characters. The author claims that this article is a “complete guide to Twitter’s language and acronyms” and will make you “seem like a regular pro in no time”. It is based on responds from the respondents on her previous article about the same topics. She shows the effectiveness of Twitter with the 140 characters limit and Twitter’s symbols like retweet. She somehow classifies the purposes to the personal group and the business group. She mentions “making friends” and “procrastination” which are personal. She also mentions “events” and “promotion” which are more business purpose. She shows a slight comparison between Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn on “Making Friends” and claims that Twitter “isn’t just a ‘business’ or ‘personal’ network”. I can use this article as a base of my topic since it shows different purposes of tweeting. It doesn’t really say anything about English language so I need to do more research on that. This blog post claims that excessive use of Twitter can damage the users’ moralities. Researchers. Scientist from University of Southern California conducted the brain scan study in order to look how the brain reacts to the noblest emotion. They found out that brain takes longer time for emotional response. So it may take longer time to response on impact of psychological situation than on physical situation. They don’t conduct experiment on specific social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc) because they want highlight that “it’s not about what tools you but the way you use those tools”. Rapid news stream “may cut down the time for admiration or compassion to sink in fully”. Twitter allows its users to tweet anything in particularly fast way. In other hands the other user rely on those tweets that probably have information that at the end not fully absorbed because the rapid stream of news. As a Twitter user myself I have to agree that information streams on Twitter can give me almost everything I need to know. Sometimes it can be too much information with no time to think about it. I know that this article doesn’t have anything specific on my topic. It will help make even stronger base for my claim since now I know that negative externalities of Twitter are not just procrastination or wasting
