Maggie,

My sincerest apologies for the delay in replying to you. I want to thank you again for extending yourself to me and I'm genuinely sorry for the delay. (On a personal note, my boyfriend and I broke up last week and I have not been myself, to say the least.)

The opportunity to meet with you is very important to me as I am tremendously interested in gaining a better understanding of the work you do as a public defender. Throughout law school, I worked as an intern in the D.C. Office of the Attorney General helping to prosecute minor misdemeanors and DUI offenses. We as an office would like to take this time to apologize for the way you were treated in our office on February 12, 2012.
