Argument Against Abortion
Do you sometimes think that the rules and laws in America aren't fair? If you do, listen carefully. America is a great country with many freedoms, but some people like to "work the system" or break the law, in the law, so to speak. That is mainly thanks to the first amendment, which basically says we can do anything we want with religion, speech, press, assemblies, petition the government, and so on. Our government shouldn't be so lenient. We should get rid of all the cults and gangs. The only way to change these ways is to petition the government into changing these things. So, if you think the same as me, help by turning some of the many wrongs of this country into rights! There is now corruption in almost every city in America. Now, immoral behaviors are adored and even respected! Homosexuality is accepted and practically encouraged. What happened to the traditional family morals that have been followed for the last several thousand years, such as honesty, integrity, respect, and responsibility? In the U.S. people used to try to do more than expected and try very hard in …show more content…

Stem-Cell research. Another touchy subject in the U.S. today. I think abortion is wrong. It is basically killing a little child before it is even born! Stem Cell research is man trying to play God. We travel all around the world to try to catch a couple guys who killed a few hundred people, while more than three times that amount of babies are killed through abortion every day! Think about that: that is several thousand Americans a day! Now if we had two massive terrorist attacks in one year that kill 3,000 people each time, that is 6,000 people dead that year. If 2,000 women have an abortion every day, that's 730,000 innocent babies killed each year. I'm not saying that we shouldn't go after the terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan; I'm just saying we have a way larger problem right here in the United States. It is a fact: more than 1,000,000 babies a year are killed by

In the article, “New Pro- Choice Argument Reveals the Need for a New Pro- Life Message” the author, Ardee Coolidge indicates that there needs to be a change to the pro- life debate arguments. To strengthen the pro- life argument the first is to change its name to, “pro- abundant life.” Next is by understanding the four new stances for this argument. The first stance being marriage, raising a child with two parents is the most conducive environment for the abundant life. The second stance is Fatherhood, in the article it claims that the father is the most influential factor when deciding to get an abortion, nonetheless there should be more focus on the father's. The third stance is Christ, Christ is the only one who is able to transform hearts.…

There is nothing more personal and private than your own body. Out of everything in this world, it is the one thing that you truly own and it is the one thing you have control over. By limiting abortion the government is quiet literally forcing itself into the most personal, private, and intimate part of your life. What you decide to do with your own body has nothing to do with the greater well being of society. Having an abortion effects one person and one person only, the person who is pregnant. Anti-choice proponents say that abortion is the murder of a child, but they refuse to acknowledge a multitude of scientific evidence that shows that a a cluster of cells is not its own being. It is contained within a human being, it cannot live…

The topic of abortion has caused much attention. When the topic comes about there are two sided arguments; either you are pro-life or pro-choice. Pro-life supporters support that women should not have a choice to abort the child, and it constitutes murder.Pro-choice supporters say that women should have the right to carry the child or abort it. Unlike many other arguments however both parties agree their should be a restricted availability.…

udith Jarvis Thomson wrote a paper titled A Defense of Abortion which supports my view that abortion is permissible. An argument when it comes to people's views on abortion is whether or not they believe the fetus is a person. If we could just come to a conclusion on this it would be simple right, if fetuses are people then abortions are impermissible, and if fetuses are not people then abortions are permissible. This is not the case though and many people who do defend abortion say that the fetus is not a person. Thomson does not believe that a fetus is a person from the moment of contraception but for the sake of argument she uses this premise to make a point to show that even if this stance is taken abortion is still morally permissible…

The human body is amazing. It can protect one from sickness, harm. It can create beautiful art or fantastical inventions. It can surpass impossible limits. The human body is amazing. It’s amazing and it can create life. But, we, as humans, can take away that life. Humans can inhibit a person from moving forward. Humans can stop a person from feeling happiness or wholeness. And all because we, as humans, make abortion illegal. When abortion is illegal, it restricts a girl or woman from living the life she deserves. When abortion is illegal, it shows that a group of fellow humans love a forming bundle of cells more than the person standing before them.…

It is hard to find a single definition for the word “abortion.” Dictionary.com states that an abortion is also called voluntary abortion and it is the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy. However, google states that an abortion is defined as the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first twenty-eight weeks of pregnancy. On the contrary, Merriam Webster defines an abortion as a medical procedure used to end a pregnancy and cause the death of the fetus. Just reading these definitions begin the argument of whether or not abortion should be legal and if it is “morally” right. Abortion has become a popular topic of discussion across politics and within churches. Although both sides have valid arguments, it is up to the woman carrying the child to decide whether she will keep the child or not. No government, nor religion should force someone into making a decision they weren’t fully supportive of.…

How would it be like if you weren’t allowed to choose what happens to your future? Some women do not get the luxury of choosing for themselves due to some laws set and they do not get the option whatsoever. That should be different as women are the ones who carry the babies, not the ones who are voting against it. Even though the baby never had the chance to live life, women should have the right to choose what they want to do with their baby because it may be bad for the women herself to have to care of a baby, they may not be prepared for a baby, and we do not know their circumstances of the situation.…

Over the past decades, women in America have been fighting for their rights. For example, on the 18th of August in 1920, women were granted the right to vote. Although women have gained many rights, they still today are fighting to keep their right to aborting a fetus within them. Many individuals see underlying issues with suppressing abortion. Abortion may cause more of an advantage than harm.…

In the first chapter Fineman poses the question “Who is a person?”. The answer seems to be something so simple, yet it is very complex. The topic deals with humans rights given in the constitution. The question has always been prominent in our society because the founding fathers wrote a constitution the did not fit all Americans. The constitution was written for the white male. African Americans and women did not have these rights until later on in history. The question also is apparent in the abortion argument, Gary Bauer a prominent figure in the Pro-life movement fights to say unborn fetuses are people. The meaning of a person and who deserve constitutional is expanding. In history it wasn't always so easy and people had to fight for their…

Many disagree with woman having to carry an unwanted child because it makes the woman feels enslaved. (enslavement of woman). In November 2013, the campaign group Abortion Rights announced their first-ever student conference. It was, they explained, in response to 'many student unions reporting increased anti-choice activity on campuses'. Societies such as Oxford Students for Life, which I've been part of for the last couple of years, don't tend to think of themselves as 'anti-choice', but it's true there are more of us around. The number of young people who are opposed to abortion, or at least worried about it, is growing --this despite the usual hostility from student unions.students are getting more socially liberal, and who more dubiously equate pro-life beliefs with social conservatism.(Students against abortion: Young…
