To begin, switching to the year-round schooling system will mess up schedules. Planning vacations will be difficult or parents with kids who go to different schools with different schedules. If a family with kids who go to year-round school wished to visit friends or family with the traditional schooling schedule, it would be very difficult to find a point in time where both schedules meet up. It will also become difficult for teachers whose children attend a different school than they teach. While their kids may be on vacation, parents may not be, so the parents would have to find a babysitter. According to Text 1, “If these teachers are in a different school than their kids... kids may be left home alone because it can be hard to find a babysitter for two weeks every six weeks.” Finding a babysitter wouldn’t be easy, so parents may have to leave their children alone on their breaks, which is a hard thing for some parents to do especially if their kids are younger.
