Argumentative Essay: Do Dogs Have Their Freedom
I myself am not a big fan of dogs. I mean they can be very sweet or very aggressive , if the city was to build a dog park i truely think it would be for the best .

Dogs deserve to have some freedom, even if its just being of the leash for a few hours. I agree that most people in apartment buldings do not have the proper space for dogs to be free , this results in agression.

I can see why some people wouldnt want dogs to be unleashed. Dogs can be scary sometimes but just like people once they get used to going out and being around others they warm up. I went to a dog park and it was an amazing experience.

A dog park is the right place for dogs of all sizes to get the exercise they need. Most dog parks have alot of space and

Any dog that is neglected, treated poorly, and forced to fight is more likely to act aggressively towards not only other dogs but people as well. The ideology that one should not paint an entire group with the same brush or that one bad apple should not spoil the bunch can be applied to dogs as well. Much like the way that all citizens of some Middle-Eastern countries may be viewed as ‘terrorists’ following the attacks on America on September 11th, not all of them are. There are extremists from every group and ethnicity that could cause harm to others, but no single group is inherently evil. And so it is with animals. Should an owner train its dog to attack, the dog will attack—but a well-trained pit with a loving family could go its entire life without so much as a hint of aggression towards another animal. Simply put, dogs, like people, are nothing more than a product of their upbringing.…

Many people are deeply afraid of Pit Bulls. This breed repeatedly appears on the news mostly because the dog has attacked another dog or a human being. Some of the attacks have been severe enough to cause harm and even death. Many believe that Pit Bulls are born aggressive since it is known that breeders have bred them over the years to become more muscular in comparison to other breeds like the Golden Retriever. The more muscular the dog is the better it will do when it is introduced to dog fighting. Knowing this, it is very easy to believe that because the dog has been bred to be stronger and has been used for dogfighting, it has inherited the aggressive trait and is more likely act on it, however studies have shown otherwise. A study by the University of Pennsylvania states “the top three biters of humans were actually smaller dogs: Dachshunds, Chihuahuas and Jack Russell terriers” (Viegas).…

    Pit Bull Stereotypes

When you buy a pet you acknowledge that they are your responsibility. If the pet destroyed someone’s property then it is the owners fault, not the dogs. However that is not true for biting. For some reason the government feels that it is a whole breeds fault if it is only a couple of dogs bite humans. The government should punish the owners instead of the dogs. Some owners just let their dogs run around and do whatever the dog wants. Then when the dog gets into trouble the owner does not take responsibility for the dog. So instead of the government banning the whole breed they should focus on the owners. They should ban certain people from owning a Pit Bull. If they did that then they would realize that it is not the breeds fault, but it is the owners fault. The government could also force owners to have a beware of dog sign, this way people would know that there was a dog around that could potentially be…

Many people worldwide are afraid of Pit Bulls. They are no different from any other dog in the world. They are affectionate companions, generally healthy and easy to care for, people oriented, loyal to their owners, eager to please, and have a high tolerance to pain. These are some of the qualities that make them good pets. I believe that they should not be banned because 99% of issues that arise with Pit Bulls have to do with owners who are idiots (pitbulls.org).…

Who should be punished when a dog goes violent the dog or the owner or both? Should we punish all large breed dogs for the actions of one bad dog? These questions come to mind when thinking about the new laws that have been passed against pit bulls. After years of discrimination of people, we are now discriminating against breeds of dogs. Even though aggressive dogs tend to bite more, I am against the idea of breed specific legislation because it is not the breed of the dog but how it is trained. There are many advocates for BSLs, including the leader of PETA (people for the ethical treatment of animals). This is an excerpt from the leader of PETA, Ingrid Newkirk, and her rational for dog banning and the killing of these innocent animals.…

How would you feel if your dog that you love more than anything in the world couldn’t go with you when you moved homes because of ban laws and you had to euthanize your best friend? Over 1,500 pit bulls get euthanized each year because of these ban laws. “Aggression” is why these ban laws have been made and it’s not the dogs fault it’s the behavioral decisions of the owners.…

Are you really willing to ban a whole breed just because social media told you they were bad? Pit bulls first started getting a bad rap when people used them for dog fighting making everyone think that they were violent dogs. Today when people think of pit bulls they immediately think of this scary dog that could kill you, but that is just not the truth. Banning pit bulls will not solve the problem of violent dogs in society. It is discrimination simply because of their breed.…

Before building the park there are many pros and cons. This would be great for the dog owners. It gives them a chance to take their dog in public with no leash, while building trust with owner and dog. The dog has the chance to interact with other dogs. It also saves the residents in local apartments from hearing the dogs cries and barks to be let outside. There would be less poop outside of your homes.…
