We should no longer breed purebred dogs is that many dogs have have different physical traits when compared to their ancestors. For example the English bulldog when compared to it’s ancestor the physical features completely differ from its ancestors. The present bulldog is much bigger and they have very saggy skin, while the ancestors are skinnier and the skin is tight on the muscles of the dog. Having a larger mass than normal, English bulldogs experience almost every health issue known to dogs. Due to having many health issues bulldogs experience a lot pain in their joints due to them being overweight. Being overweight can lead to damage not just to the joints but also their bones and ligaments can go through wear and tear, leading to arthritis which becomes associated with hip dysplasia.
