Argumentative Essay On Gun Control
One of the biggest controversial topics in America today is Gun Control, whether we should or should not have gun control. The Government claims that if they take the guns away, that there will be a drop in deaths and crimes. The Second Amendment state that every citizen of the United States of America has a right to bare arms(ProCon#1). The Gun Control Law will take away that right completely, along with some of our freedom. If the Gun Control Law is enforced in the United States, our hunting right will be removed, our self-defense right will be taken away, and it will amplify the problem.

warm. Of coarse that was back in the olden days, now days man hunts for a sense of joy and still for food purposes. When a father takes his son hunting he is teaching him in more ways than one. He teaches him gun safety, builds is character and morals, values human lives after seeing himself take an animals life, teach him how to find a source of food other than the super market and build a strong relationship with his son. The Gun Control Law will unfortunately take all of that away if enforced. Only because guns are necessary when going hunting.
Another reason to be against the Gun Control Law is it will take alway your right of self-defense(ProCon#3). The police can not protect you all the time, they are usually called after the fact. Guns do not only insure that you will always be able to defend yourself, it also insures protection. We have men in other countries defending our country, we should be able to defend our own home from foreign invaders. Criminals prey on the one they think cant defend themselves. They see woman as weak and innocent so they are more likely to get attached, but if she is carrying a gun she can defend herself easily. You have a right to arm yourself and protect yourself use it!
People who are for Gun Control laws are oblivious to the fact they are giving up self protection, simply because they have never been attached before so they don't where they are losing anything. They need to realize that it not able waiting till something happens it is about being able to prevent something from happening.
Lastly, my reason for being against the Gun Control Law is that it will not solve the problem, it will amplify the problem.
The problem being crimes committed using fire arms. What the Government fails to recognize is that criminals do not abide by the laws, taking weapons away from law abiding citizen will only give the criminals more means to do harm. There is a law against braking and entering but criminals still do it. There is a Law against stealing, yet criminals still continue to steal. So what will taking guns away from Law abiding citizens do? Absolutely nothing other than make citizens more vulnerable to the criminals. While a study was found between 1980 and 2009, shows the States with restrictions on carrying concealed fire arms had higher gun-related murders(ProCon #2). This will also be the first and only Law that amplifies the problem rather than helping. If criminals want to have guns they will find a way to get them. Taking away legally owned guns does not get rid of the illegally owned guns. The Gun Control Law will give criminals the upper hand, they will be more likely to shoot innocent people to get why they want, expectably know there will not be bullet fired back at them. The reason Gun control has not affect on murders is because the killing is not being done people with legally owned
guns.
Those who are for the Gun Control Law would argue that is will save the live of those who are committing suicide. What they have failed to do it look at the statistics of the suicide problem. Japan has 0.6 gun per 100 people and a high suicide rate of 18.41 suicided per 100,000 people while the us has 88.8 guns per 100 people and has a low rate 12.3 suicides per 100,000 people(ProCon#9). This clearly shows that the amount of guns or availably of guns has zero affect of the suicide rate.
In conclusion, if the Gun Control Law is placed on the United States the problem of gun-related crimes will be amplified, our right to defense and sense of protection will be dismissed, and our right to hunt will be taken away. Before you jump on board with taken our weapons away make sure you see exactly what all you are losing. Everyone needs to come to the realization that guns do not kill people, people kill people.
