Argumentative Essay: Gun Control Should Not Be In Force

Gun control should not be in force because it only affects the people who follow the laws. If weapons were banned, that is, putting gun control into effect, the people who follow laws won’t be able to protect themselves from people who don’t abide by the laws. The main purposes of fire arms is self- protection and hunting. So if the government tries to take our weapons away from us we can just throw the 2nd amendment at them and tell them that this is unconstitutional. We understand they are trying to cut down on crime, but it is actually making the crime rates go up. In Britain the government thought it would bring the crime/murder rate down but, it actually increased about 1 million more deaths each year. The government is trying to get is ammo they are trying to limit ammo manufactures to a certain amount of ammo a day. They are also making people go into havoc and making them go crazy over ammo, so people are buying
all of the ammo by doing this the ammo price is rising because the availability is dropping. These people are either stock piling the ammo or they are just shooting for sadistic pleasure. After some people read that sentence they are saying that’s how massive shootings are started by using shooting as an outlet. The only reason massive shootings happen is because the people have a few wires undone in the brain. That’s why we should have Before 1999 the #1 reason for a weapon was for hunting. After 1999 is when 911 happened and we the people got nuts about weapons for self-protection. The one of the only reasons we need to have weapons is for self-protection because criminals kill/injure pedestrians for money and jewelry. So we need weapons to protect our family from criminals like these. Concealed handgun licenses is one way to stop these crimes because if they try to rob you can pull a gun on the and either call the police, scare them off, or shoot them and wound them. If you do the last one you call the police and the paramedics immediately, because they can bleed out. The police will be there if the criminal is still being troubles to the paramedics.
So concealed handgun carrying is good and bad at the same time, it’s bad because it takes a lot of responsibility and a lot of people aren’t responsible enough. There are some downsides of just having a weapon at home. It is a downside because your weapon is at home. What happens when you are out and you need a weapon to protect yourself? That’s why you conceal carry a fire arm. Home protection is also very important, because your family/friends are at your home and you must protect them. You just have to be smart where you put the weapon. Put in an easy accessible place to get it but not in plain sight. The most common weapon used for home protection is a shotgun. The most common weapon used is a 12 gauge shotgun. Another favorite weapon is an assault rifle, the most common is an AR-15. Most politicians are attacking on assault rifles the heaviest, but they are actually trying to ban most weapons out there. You also need a weapon just in case the

Government declares martial law in your area or in the country. Martial law means that there are no more laws left to protect you. Then the government calls in the military to take the area back over. But the time between the army arriving is horrible. All of the gangs are fighting, stores are being robbed, and people are killing each other for money, drugs, etc. Martial law is last resort though. So self-protection is one of the most important things. But many of the politicians are trying to take that right away from us. So protect your right to bear arms. Let’s keep the tradition of owning fire arms alive.
The place where the government is getting us is with our ammo they were trying to ban green tipped rounds, armor piercing rounds I understand why they wanted to because it penetrated armor better but it’s just horrible that they were trying to do that.
Because what if martial law was declared we wouldn’t have armor piercing rounds to fight back. The military would though. One thing I think we should do if you want to have a fire arm you should have to take an Electroencephalography (EEG) Test. Which is a test that checks your brain out and all of the nerves in your brain and how they act. This test will tell if you are crazy or not if you are declared crazy you shouldn’t be able to buy a weapon, but if you aren’t you should be able to buy one. (Newrepublic.com also Workthreat.com) People have been saying that the government has been telling the ammo manufactures to make less ammo but in reality they are telling them to make more ammo, because the government is using more ammo and so are us the consumers. We are also buying more semi-automatic weapons which chews through ammo. As well as us the consumer having newer shooters each year which means the more manufactured weapons which means more ammo for them. So the big ole host of the government telling the ammo manufactures. To make less is now solved. (forbes.com) Make it where you have to have an annual background check on you to own/purchase firearms. If you do this it will make people think about their decisions. To me this a smart decision and I bet you to others this a brilliant decision. Purchasing weapons and ammo shouldn’t be hard, but it shouldn’t be easy. So let’s do these few little tips and we will have a safer country.
Parents often assume that time spent with their kids will dwindle in adolescence. Hunting is not just a food thing but it teaches a lesson on live and death situations. So if the government takes weapons away from us we won’t be able to teach our children these life lessons (WacoTrib.com). Results show that Youths that learn about fire-arms and spend more time with their parents are actually less violent (gunshotsfirearmstraining.com). So take the hunting justification out of the gun debate. (peta.org) a lot of people have weapons for both hunting and self-protection. Since they say it’s for both the government says no its not, because the government says people don’t hunt no more. So if guns were eliminated from our lifestyle we wouldn’t be able to hunt nor protect our families and friends. So weapons have many uses such as protection, bonding time, and food. So taking weapons away from us will take lots of time and money. So leave the law abiding hunters alone.

The law abiding citizens may need their weapons to protect their family from the non-law abiding citizens or they need them to put food on the table because, they may not have enough money to afford meat. Facts show that youth who spend time with their family have more common sense. Since they have more common sense they won’t go crazy. So having a good relationship with family is a good
thing.
