Argumentative Essay: Should Gun Control Be Extended?
Should gun control be extended?

So, I believe that Americans should be able to own guns and not have their 2nd amendment infringed upon because the 2nd amendment says “ The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” This implies that the people of the U.S can have weapons to defend themselves and no further. Now obviously there is flaws to this as there is criminals that use weapons for horrible acts, but we have people that own guns to protect themselves from the criminals in which case a weapon is used in self defence and not to commit an act of crime. As well as people who use them to protect themselves it is also not meant to kill the gun for example is something that doesn’t kill the user of the

And with that law or stricter added you wouldn’t be infringing their right to own a weapon but you would be lowering the chance of them using it as a weapon used for killing it is that simple. Now of course there is a couple of things to the counterpoint of my argument and that would be that guns would still be obtainable by people who don’t have a criminal record and are selling weapons illegally. But of course I have a counter argument and that would be that we could also make gun sales illegal to the public if you do not have said permit to own one.

Now another thing is that the gun control could possibly be abused in the words of people who say oh we won this time and they might want to make firearms illegal to own and to sell from everyone. And that would be a bad thing that can easily happen if we did allow people to take away our weapons. And as of current situation we still have control of guns and there hasn’t been much fighting against it but it all could change in the matter of a couple days and we could be having positions to infringe the 2nd amendment but that is one of the only things that people

With the Second Amendment specifically grants that "the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." All in all, it is not a good choice for American society at the present stage to ban gun. From the constitutional view, Gun Ban is contrary to the constitution of human rights and protection spirit; from the political view, it will increase the risk of tyranny; from the economic view, it will lead criminal squares to become one of the guns of the monopolist; from the social reality view, it leads to the lack of citizen means of self-defense; finally, from social culture view, it does not conform to the American culture tradition and social psychology. I think the key to the problem of gun crime is not the gun itself, but the deep problems of the society, such as poverty, social life and so on. I think gun control is just a…

The U.S. has been in a hot debate over a tough issue for hundreds of years now. The subject of that debate is gun control laws. With mass murders and break-ins happening all over America it brings up two groups of people. One group believes taking away the guns will solve the problem. Why is gun control the supposed “cure” for crime? Why is there always this need to blame guns for people’s crimes? If this theory is correct, then the belief that pencils cause grammatical errors is also true; wait, that doesn’t sound right, does it? Now, all of a sudden when the “cure” is used in this light it becomes ridiculous. In fact, Americans have a constitutional right to own handguns, and stricter laws and licensing will not effectively save lives.…

Gun control should not be in force because it only affects the people who follow the laws. If weapons were banned, that is, putting gun control into effect, the people who follow laws won’t be able to protect themselves from people who don’t abide by the laws. The main purposes of fire arms is self- protection and hunting. So if the government tries to take our weapons away from us we can just throw the 2nd amendment at them and tell them that this is unconstitutional. We understand they are trying to cut down on crime, but it is actually making the crime rates go up. In Britain the government thought it would bring the crime/murder rate down but, it actually increased about 1 million more deaths each year. The government is trying to get is ammo they are trying to limit ammo manufactures to a certain amount of ammo a day. They are also making people go into havoc and making them go crazy over ammo, so people are buying…

Each year, a number of people die from guns. The popular saying is “guns do not kill people, people kill people” which is true; however, guns are used to aid in violence and many would argue that eliminating guns through stricter laws would decrease violence. As the number of gun owners in the world increases the government and its citizens would benefit from implementing stricter regulations regarding the safe keeping of guns in the home. The lack of gun safety results in the ability to access these guns with distressing outcomes. While many individuals argue that guns need to be restricted within the United States, the real argument is for allowing the Constitutional right to bear arms while implementing stricter laws to ensure these firearms do not fall within the wrong hands.…
