Argumentative Essay On Parking
I received a parking ticket on March 22, and the reason given on the citation was that I was parked on a handicap ramp. However, I had a good amount of distance between my car and the handicap ramp. In addition, my handicap pass was also hung up. I have never had any problems parking in that spot and am confused as to why I received a ticket. I believe the citation was made in error, and I would like to appeal it. There are many other cars that park as such everyday and I believe that it is unfair and unjustified for me to receive this ticket. I also have pictures of my car and others as evidence and will be happy to submit them upon request.

To make sure that Detroit does not fall prey to the same evils which caused its dilapidation decades ago, they need to learn from their various mistakes. The biggest of these was to rely far too much on the car industry, which turned into its Achilles heel when Ford Motors, among other corporations, left the city. Diversification is the key here to financial prosperity, as Detroit needs to ensure that when one industry perhaps fails in the city, there are many others to continue to back up the city financially. This was exactly the problem with the city before; they did not have a backup plan for when demand for automobiles lessened.…

A healthcare professional may legitimately refuse to administer a particular medicine if they have sufficient doubts about the safety of clinical appropriateness (The Royal Wolverhampton…

The American Civil War was not just another battle in world history — it changed the way that wars are fought using new inventions. The Civil War was fought from 1861-1865, in the early 1800’s, the Industrial Revolution was taking place. By the end of the Industrial Revolution, the North and the South had very different economies. In the North, there were many factories, which meant that the North was almost entirely self reliant. On the other hand, the South’s economy was built around the selling of raw materials that slaves produced, which meant that the South depended on other countries. This difference of economies changed the outcome of the Civil War because the North was able to produce necessary supplies to win a war. While many factors…

Although my drive to school takes only 10 minutes, I leave my house at 10:30 to be at my 11:30 class. At 10:40 I pull into the parking lot with what looks like one hundred other students. As I am wedged behind other anxious commuters I can only envision the convenience of another parking lot. Once in my classroom, I am late, thus frustrated - concentration in a three-hour class is going to be non-existent. Students at **** stress over finding a parking spot, although we should be more concerned with English papers, lab reports and math midterms. Discussions of the Greater Vancouver transit system, the stress, the cost, and inconvenience of parking, and fit solutions to the parking problem will explain how parking could be convenient, thus less stressful, for **** commuters if a multi-level parking garage were added.…

As of November 20, 2014, same –sex marriage has been legalized in 35 out of 50 U.S. states. Same-sex marriage is a hot topic which the Supreme Court is considering to legalize. Many people say a homosexual person is a sinner. The question is do homosexual people choose his or her gender? They were born that way and they are happy with their lives. Homosexual people are nothing unlike heterosexual people. They are living, they are working, and they contribute to society. Proponents state that same-sex couples should have access to the same marriage benefits and public acknowledgment enjoyed by heterosexual couples and that prohibiting gay marriage is unconstitutional discrimination. On the other side, opponents argue that altering the traditional definition of marriage as between a man and a woman will further weaken a threatened institution and that legalizing gay marriage is a slippery downhill way that may lead to polygamous and interspecies marriages (gaymarriage.procon.org). All people in the world should understand the meaning of marriage, whether a same-sex marriage or a traditional marriage. For that reason, same-sex marriage should be considered as a legal marriage because it is an equal right for humankind and beneficial for society as well as preventing youth suicide.…

The prices of college tuition have increased yearly, and not much of an effort is put forth to try to lower the costs. For example, colleges in the state of Pennsylvania have a high tuition. East Stroudsburg University’s tuition is about $6,240, and after receipt of grants and scholarships for one year it will be $12,500. I can barely afford Community College, and I know for a fact I wouldn’t be able to afford any of these colleges or universities either. In this essay, I will explain through facts and opinions, why the cost of college tuition should be lowered.…
