Argumentative Essay On Step Father

On December 12, 2016 Lalisa confessed on video that she murdered her step dad for abusing her mom by setting him on fire while he was sleeping. She told a court how she felt these past months living with him and and how it was being able to see it all.

She confessed in court that she couldn’t handle these past months with her step dad, Dean. She said that she couldn’t breathe, she felt like she was suffocating. She said after hours of her step dad being gone, he'd come home drunk and her mom made her go hide in her closet. After going to hide she always heard her parents screaming at each other until she heard a loud slap echo, silence, then her mom crying uncontrollably. She hated it, she hated it so much. Knowing that there was no way she'd be able to do anything to stop him and help her mom. Instead she'd sit in her closet with tears silently rolling down her face.

She stated that these events continued happening everyday for the past few months, until she decided to stop it. She told the court about the night she murdered her step dad. She said that he came home really late and drunk with a beer in his hand but instead of going to hide she stayed to protect her mom. “He tried to swing at my mom but I moved in front of her so he ended up hitting me” she explained, her voice shaky. “I
While her mom was still sleeping, she decided to get her step dad's jug of gasoline and some strike anywhere matches. She then poured the cold gasoline on him watching it seep through his skin. She went to grab paper towels and wiped her teeth to dry them then she grabbed the match and strikes it on her teeth as the flame became bigger she threw the match on her dad and ran out of the room. She quickly went to her mom and told her to come outside, she came and Lalisa ran down the street to the car, with her mom following behind
