Top gear is a car show that specifically talks about cars. The production company is the BBC. It is targeted at people who are interested in cars, but along with that, it is also a talk show, with the presenters; Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond. Nevertheless, it is also entertaining. With featured celebrity guests appearing every episode the audience span has increased over the years.
If we break down the key labourers involved in making the show, we obviously start with the three main presenters that have made Top Gear successful over the past years, they are Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond. With the show being specifically aimed at vehicles, all three presenters have their share of presenting and in most cases
The producer’s contribution to the show is by far the most important. Producers have a vital role in the world of television. A producer will manage each project from beginning to end. Not only that, they are also involved in the marketing and distribution side of the show. Producers also work diligently with the directors and other production staff. Sometimes, they may have to be the director and be in charge of all project procedures. Producers organise funding for each project and are accountable for keeping the production within the assigned budget. Lastly we have the directors, Guy Savin and Dan James. Directors are accountable for how a specific show looks and sounds. They work closely with Producers and writers, improving, purifying and grasping original ideas into finished programmes.
