Argumentative Essay: Should Schools Have Edays?
Should Schools Have Edays?
Do you think schools have edays? Schools are starting to have e days instead of snow days. I think schools shouldn’t have edays. Schools shouldn’t have e-days because some students don’t have the internet to do it, some families might only have one computer and more than one child and some students might need help from teachers.
First schools shouldn’t have edays because some students don’t have the internet. And the kids without internet won’t be able to do the assignments for the day and they will fall behind. They will have to do the work at school and the work for that day. So students will have double the work the day after snow days. And if they had a lot of work those two days they might not be able to catch

Some children might be in the lower grades and don’t get a computer until middle school. Obviously, schools shouldn’t have e days.
Also, students might need help from teachers. Some students don’t learn as fast as the others and need extra help. If the student doesn’t get help they will not be able to there work. And some parents didn’t even learn half the stuff schools learn today. When I’m stuck on math homework I ask my mom for help and she can’t because she didn’t learn it. So When I need help I go to my older cousins houses for them to help me. But if there is a bad snowstorm and school was canceled for it my mom shouldn’t get out of the house and we possibly wreck just to do my school work. Indeed schools shouldn’t have e days.
Therefore, schools shouldn’t have e days because some families don’t have the internet, some families only have one computer and more than one child and some students might need help from teachers. Schools shouldn’t have e days. Because some students won’t be able to do it. And another reason is that some students don’t have the internet and they can’t do it without the internet. That is why I think schools shouldn’t have e days. I think the school should have a vote from the students to determine if they should have e days or

Changing the five day school week has been argued for and against due the controversy as to whether or not it would actually be beneficial to students and teachers. When approaching the idea, many people would like to believe that five day school weeks are the most efficient and productive way to educate our youth. What is often overlooked, however, is that it is causing students to dread school more than they already do, and lessen their willingness to be in or attentive at school. Not only this, but many teachers easily get behind on either grading or lesson planning, while the school could actually save money when switching to this schedule. By refreshing the way the school schedule has previously been, we can address the issue of exhausted students who don 't truly learn anything, teachers who are overwhelmed with work and the economic questions within America 's schools. Providing both students and teachers with a more equal week of break and school time by having Wednesdays off will make students more willing to attend school, give the teachers time to furnish their lesson plans and give the school a break in costs.…

If four day weeks were introduced to schools, the students and schools will both benefit. The schools will save a significant amount of money and students will excel academically and behavior will improve drastically. Whenever we have a student/teacher holiday, less students are absent and behave because they are looking forward to less days of the week. When students have less days to worry about, it will make them work harder so they can finish of the week sooner.…

Therefor I don’t think our school board should add time to each school day. I think we should keep our schedule starting at 7:30 and ending at 2:30. That way we can get home do chores, play and go to any afterschool activities. If we changed our school hours that would interfere with parents/guardians work schedules. Now with the schedules our school has we don’t get to restless with the teachers or other…

Many schools in the United States are beginning to change their school calendar so their students attend class all year round. The changes still allow the students time off in the summer, but they do not have the three months of break most students in America receive traditionally. Instead, they get a break of a couple weeks in the summer, and the remainder of the time is divided up and put into other breaks throughout the year. All schools in America should switch to a year-round calendar to accommodate the different and higher level of learning needed to be successful in our changing world and society. The traditional school system was designed many years ago when our country was an agricultural nation. Therefore, the school calendar was developed having a long break in the summer so students could assist their family with cultivating crops and other aspects of farm life. The traditional school calendar was not a calendar for higher learning, and should be extended to meet the needs of modern day students. There are many explanations as to why the traditional school calendar should be changed.…
