Growing up in a house with all boys plus a grandmother that told me constantly that a woman should be the one to cook, clean and take care of the kids, the women in my life have always been like that, i hear my friends talking about boys, the future, kids, a home in which they would all live, but not one talking about traveling, future career and when they do talk about those things they are thinking about a future partner as well, it seems that girls are taught at a young age to take care of others and to make them happy but not taught to take care of themselves and to do what makes them happy. The solution to our quest for civil right for all is simply not be so simple minded, we must be open to new things for example: new ways of learning, expressing ourselves. People have an insane idea that there way is the only way also that it is the right way no one wants to be wrong and everyone wants to prove that they’re right therefore this is the issue we fight against each other not knowing it’s also hurting us. We need to stop thinking as ourselves as the center of our own universe and open to our eyes to see the bigger picture, it’s important to keep in mind that our actions have a way of effecting
