Recently the Food and Drug Administration has advised new nutrition labels for food products like candy bars, cereal boxes and other packaged food being sold in the supermarket. These newly ordered labels will mention the sugar content and also whether it is natural or added later on. These legally mandatory disclosures help to control sugar levels.
Fruits also contain sugar but those are natural and come alongwtih fiber and vitamin C and are healthy compared to other packaged food which contains added and artificial sugars. According to FDA, the source of sugar matters and it attempts to disclose the information about added sugar ingredients by misleading names like high fructose corn syrup, agave and fruit juice.
